Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

2016 Diverge A1. Really like being able to click out when the ride gets a bit hairy (for me). I want to be able to bale without having to think about unclicking. Tension easy to adjust. Have done a path/road 17, 19, and 30 miler so far. I'll probably buy another set for my hybrid mountain bike.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

I have purchased numerous pairs of the Nashbar Soho pedals because they are lightweight, durable, and highly functional. I have given away many pairs as gifts and everyone says the same thing. The one thing I don't like about them is their aesthetics - a bit odd looking in regards to the platform. Call me old school, but I really like the looks of a more traditional platform pedal. This pedal has that and only weighs 1.5 oz more. It's a metal platform rather than plastic, so that makes sense, and it should hold up to the occasional pedal strike better. I'm no weight weenie - I could spit out a mouthful of coffee from my half-calf double macchiato if I was really that concerned.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

Although a long time cyclist I am new to mtb and these pedals were just what I needed. I can wear my hiking shoes, my exercise shoes, or my cycling shoes depending on the ride. Once you practice with the little tab that brings the mechanism to the top it's fairly easy to get your shoes clipped in, and I reduced the tension from the "medium" as delivered since I'm still learning mtb. For my situation these pedals are ideal.

I bought these for my fatty to have the option of wearing MTB shoes for trail riding or regular shoes/boots for quick stints around the compound. Installed and adjusted just fine.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

Finally decided to replace the pedals & toe clips on my "vintage" mid-80's road bike and go clipless, but wanted to be able to pedal in regular shoes when needed. After considering some Shimano options, I decided to go for these. Aside from the flip-flop factor, an important concern for me was the ability to add reflectors. I bike for exercise in the morning or late afternoon.

I'm really pleased with these pedals after a 150 miles. They are very easy to clip in and out, and have a comfortable amount of float. I just loosened the springs quite a bit while getting used to the clips, and still have them pretty loose with no issues. I haven't ridden any distance without cleats, but the pedals seem ample size and appear to have reasonable grip.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

These are great for novice (my wife uses them and isn't comfortable clipped-in) as well as situations where you want versatility of clipping-in or not. Good for in traffic or where you might have to stop frequently as clips are on one side only. Had the original Rodeo pedals and these seem as good as or better so far.

Comments about Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe Pedals:

I've only ridden these a few times so far, but they are just what I was looking for. I have a short, 2.5 mile commute to work, so I just ride in my work clothes, including dress shoes. The platform side is just what I need. Then, when I leave work I sometimes like to put on my cycling gear and go for a 20 mile workout. The clipless side is just what I need. I wouldn't use them on my carbon fiber "go fast" bike, but they've been good so far on my steel commuter/touring bike.

The advantages of the flip-flop pedal are clear to anyone. In choosing this one over others, what you get is a somewhat nicer looking pedal, and you get very smooth bearings, too. The black-anodized cage has a little tang on it for easier flipping. I put this on my prized Rocky Mountain Sherpa 30 and like it a lot.

Spring gage for spd thinner than on Shimano. Platform that shoe rests on is smaller than shimano for when using non cleat side. I tried both pedals. Feel more support with shimano.
