Comments about Nashbar Alpe D'Huez Pedals:

Carbon under cleat compressed and wore down my sworks road shoe carbon soles. Took about 8,000 miles before it started wearing the shoes resulting in a new shoe purchase.

Cons

  • might pull-out a bit easily on climbs

Best Uses

Comments about Nashbar Alpe D'Huez Pedals:

We use these on our tandem. While we sometimes stand, it is not with the intensity I'd apply on my single bike. These pedals engage easily - a plus for me as captain when riding tandem. They are very light weight. Bought new pairs for our new tandem. We had the others for five years with good results.

Comments about Nashbar Alpe D'Huez Pedals:

I haven't ever used a resin type pedal before - always metal, but these are light and appear to be pretty durable. Very easy to click into, even on the tightest setting. Bearings seem good, no adjustments or fiddling needed. I can even do short rides in regular street shoes on these - i was riding around the beach on my sandals for a bit. They're inexpensive, so i'm not too worried if i mess em up. Have only ridden a couple hundred miles - time will tell as to durability, but great so far

I purchased these for a new build. I've got a little over 20,000 miles on the current set. I don't see any compelling reason to try something new.

I have switched these to all of my 6 road bikes. Great pedals in comparison to the Look Keo at a fraction of the price. Super light and durable with great action.

Comments about Nashbar Alpe D'Huez Pedals:

I purchased my first set many years ago. The only reason I updated was I could no longer get the cleats. The 9 degrees of float helps with my knee comfort. I have really enjoyed these.
