Comments about Nashbar Bull Single-Speed Road Bike:

For the money, its hard to beat the quality of this bike. I've had this bike since May of 2014 and have had zero problems with it. I'm also 160lbs soaking wet too so I'm not sure of the rider body type and terrain ridden of the previous reviews but this bike rocks!. I live in Portland and I commute 12-15 miles a day to work and also get to climb some of the best mountains in the country. This bike has never fallen short of performance. The last trip I completed was riding McKenzie Pass outside of Sisters, OR and while taking a quick pit stop at Dee Wright Observatory a fellow cyclist called me crazy for not having any more gears to do the ride with! With a very humble chuckle, I replied my legs are my gears! What other bike manufacturer gives standard sizing on most components, sealed cartridge bearings in the hubs and headset and great overall quality without breaking the bank? Hell, if I'm not mistaken, this bike weighs in around 18lbs, not too bad for a steel frame huh? Sure this isn't the best bike ever made but I wouldn't hesitate purchasing one again. I even bought their Fatty and love it too!

Comments about Nashbar Bull Single-Speed Road Bike:

I was looking for a single speed exactly like this for a long time but could only find bikes well over $700. When I found this I thought that it was too good to be true. Well it was.

After 6 day of riding (1-2 Km/day) one of the crank arms broke. I was able to get a replacement but I had to fight for weeks and prove that new bicycle components shouldn't fall off after 6 days.
-To clarify: customer service wanted to send me a replacement crank arm and the parts department wanted me to send the whole bike back to them at my expense without refunding shipping/customs fees. I know this because I was included in the internal emails between the 2 departments. I did receive a new crank arm, pedal and condescending note telling me how to install the parts properly.

In addition, I had to replace the grip tape immediately as it kept coming loose. I have now used the bike for a little over 3 weeks and will have to replace the seat post because it is now on its way out.

After all of this I still think it is a decent bike for the price, but cannot recommend that anyone else buy it. Too many parts have broken too quickly and the service I received was deplorable.

Comments about Nashbar Bull Single-Speed Road Bike:

Agree with previous reviewers on size, thankfully due to that I ordered a 54cm where I usually ride a 56 and it fits fine. There are no bosses for racks or even water bottles which is a detractor. It would be nice to put on a bottle cage and have screw holes for fenders. For the price though, hard to beat.
