Continental Country Plus City Tire
If the grass looks greener on the other side of the bike path, go for it--cross-country. The Continental Country Plus City Tire features a tough, durable and puncture-resistant Plus breaker that protects your tube, so thorns, glass or other road debris can't penetrate when you go offroad. The tread rolls fast on smooth surfaces and the Country Plus City Tire has reflective stripes on the sidewall, making you more visible after dark.

Comments about Continental Country Plus City Tire:

Replaced the knobbies on my mt. bike since I'm riding it more on smooth dirt paths and streets these days. Yes they are on the heavy side, but seemingly no more than my wide knobbies and not really a bother to me. Only "ding" is that they are really hard to mount--had to use tire irons (plastic, but thinking iron would have been better) and pinched and snake-bit one tube getting them on. Once on they ride fine. Hopefully with the puncture resistance I won't be patching often by the side of the road!

Comments about Continental Country Plus City Tire:

These seemed like the perfect tire for my daughter's 1980's Schwinn 3 speed for use in and around the streets of Pittsburgh. Sadly, there are 3 different sizes of 26" tires available with slightly different diameters and this one was too narrow to fit her rims. So installing them was impossible and a trip to a local bike shop was necessary to purchase the right sized 26" tire which had to be ordered. A week later and a set of tires that are not nearly as nice replaced the 30 year old rubber stock tires. Live and learn.

Comments about Continental Country Plus City Tire:

I took my mountain bike and replaced the knobby off road tires with Conti Country Plus City Tiires. Now I use my bike to get exercise by taking vigorous rides through the streets of suburban Long Island. These tires ride smooth and freely. They seem to have a good grip on the pavement in spite of their relatively small footprint. I have not taken any rides on grass or dirt in these tires so I can't comment on that use. They support me well in spite of my heavy weight (255lbs). No negatives noted yet!
