Giro Women's Espada Road Shoes - Closeout
Runway looks with leg crushing performance. That's the Giro Espada women's road shoe. It has all the features you need for optimized comfort and power transfer whether you're racing or spending long days on the road. Not only do they have an incredible EC70 carbon fiber sole with unmatched stiffness and power transfer, but the Teijin microfiber upper breathes well and is uber-comfy. But what we really love is the SuperNatural fit kit that lets you customize the shoes to fit your feet. It comes with three different arch supports to help fight foot fatigue and arch cramps, so you always have proper alignment and a good pedal stroke motion. We admit, at first we were skeptical, but after trying it out, we started using the SuperNatural fit kit in all of our shoes. Combined with the specially-designed, women's-specific last and you've got a pair of shoes that will feel like they disappear once they put them on. So if you need a pair of shoes that truly fits you, with a lightweight, superstiff sole and a soft, comfortable upper, you can't go wrong with the Giro Espada women's shoes.
  • Easton EC70 carbon composite outsole is super-lightweight, rigid and powerful
  • Precision Fit last hugs the foot closely without binding, crowding or discomfort
  • Women's-specific, sizing and patterning supports the lower volume and narrower heel of the female foot
  • Teijin microfiber upper is durable, supple and breathable; resists moisture, stretching and discoloration; and conforms to the foot like a glove
  • SuperNatural Fit Kit combines a cycling-specific footbed with an adjustable arch support kit to enhance fit and pedaling efficiency
  • Molded EVA footbed with medium arch support for comfort
  • Aegis footbed treatment uses an antimicrobial barrier to eliminate odors, discoloration and fading
  • Wide offset straps, including "D-ring" mid-foot strap, eliminate pressure points
  • Strong and secure ratcheting buckle closure (replaceable)

Comments about Giro Women's Espada Road Shoes - Closeout:

Excellent performance, light weight, comfortable and well constructed shoe. I've always had high performance gear and these shoes are a standout. And of course, great value (price/quality.) One major caution is they run a full size small. The sizing chart suggested a 39.5 for me and I had to re-order a 40.5. Highly recommend these shoes overall.

Comments about Giro Women's Espada Road Shoes - Closeout:

Like others have said, these are very narrow. I have Shimano WR41's and the toebox on these Giros is about a quarter inch narrower. My Shimanos are 39's, but the 39 Giro is a hair too short as well; probably should have gotten 39.5's, but anyway they will probably be too narrow as well. I'm returning the Giros and will be sticking with Shimano. It's too bad, because these are a sweet shoe, with the carbon soles and custom innersoles, and I much prefer the color to Shimano's white.

Comments about Giro Women's Espada Road Shoes - Closeout:

Ordered these because not only did they look great the price was very affordable. I have always worn Shimano and I had heard that Giros do run a tad small. To account for that I ordered both my normal cycling shoe size and a half size up. Both were extremely tiny and the difference between the 38 and the 38.5 was so miniscule I didn't even notice a difference. Will be returning both pairs I just bought and already placed a new order for a 39.5. My normal sneaker size is a 6.5/7 and never in a million years did I think I would be ordering a 7.5/8 in cycling shoes.

USE THIS SHOE IN SPINNING CLASSES, WEAR FOR RIDING MY ROAD BIKE.
HAD DIFFICULTY W/ SIZING. ORDERED SAME SIZE AS SHOE I WAS REPLACING AND IT WAS TOO SMALL. BEING A DIFFERENT SHOE MAKE SIZING MAY BE OFF, SO MY RECOMMENDATION IS TRY ON SHOES AT A SPORTS/BIKE STORE FIRST TO KNOW YOUR SIZE FOR THE BRAND YOU WANT TO BUY THEN ORDER. SAVES YOU TIME & MONEY.

I wear an 8 in street shoes and ordered a 40.5 since I have a wide foot and this shoe fits perfectly. It even included a couple different insoles. Although I have not tried them, it is nice to have options. I am a beginner so this is my first pair of cycling shoes. I was surprised by how comfortable these are.

Comments about Giro Women's Espada Road Shoes - Closeout:

I purchased the shoes based on the reviews that said it ran narrow. In ten years of cycling I have not had a pair of shoes that fit. These shoes feel like I get power out equal to power in. The carbon sole is good. Liked the idea of the custom arch fit kit even though I have custom bike shoe inserts. Have been riding in the medium height and it is good. As other reviewers have mentioned, the shoes do run short so order at least a half size longer than usual, and make certain you have narrow feet. In street shoes I wear a 10AA and needed the 42.5.

I was excited to purchase this shoe at the great price offered by nashbar. I ordered a 39 to accommodate my R foot bunion. Disappointed that this shoe didn't work for my wider feet and does seem to run small. Otherwise a nice looking shoe with great features. Wish I could've kept but sadly had to return

I ordered this show in a 40 and wear an 8.5 US. It was so small I could barely get my foot into it, and the show is very narrow as other reviewers have stated. I've returned it for a 41 but havne't received it yet so we will see if it finalyl fits or not.
