I just really like it. Especially after my (last much more expensive) one died after one season.
I use it for trading to keep track of avg. speed and cadence in trading.

Comments about Nashbar Tempo Double Wireless Cycling Computer:

I consider myself tech savvy and spent considerable time setting up the unit and the sensors. Everything was good after I tested them the night before a big but the next morning I start riding and there is nothing working at all. A bit miffed I adjuster sensors (no help) so I took batteries out of both display (first) and sensor (second) and voila the unit worked like a champ (I did have to reset clock). It has now been a week and I will find out this weekend if the unit really performs well as I do a 25 and 50 mile ride. If there are further problems I will update but it worked like a champ once I did get it operational with bright easy to read display and accurate speed and cadence.

Comments about Nashbar Tempo Double Wireless Cycling Computer:

Cadence, speed, mileage all displayed on one screen. The size of the screen is sufficient, but the numbers don't have quite enough contrast with the background to be easily read. When light is shining directly on the screen it is impossible to see. I have adjusted the position and angle as much as possible to improve.

It does what it is advertised and I have no issue with performance. The only other con for me is that I am not totally comfortable with the mounting on the rear wheel frame. The design on my tri bike is not a smooth surface, so it doesn't seem tight enough. Time will tell I guess. Only a few rides with it so far.

        Still no computer

Comments about Nashbar Tempo Double Wireless Cycling Computer:

I was planning on waiting to leave any reviews until I actually had a chance to test the unit but since Nashbar went out of their way to solicit my review, here it goes. I received the computer and it was not paired with the speed/cadence transmitter. I attempted to pair it multiple times. No luck. I changed the batteries on the computer and the transmitter. Still no luck. I called customer service and after being transferred to technical support was told that I had killed the receiver in the computer by changing the battery. Two problems with that. It didn't work before I changed the battery and why in the world would changing the battery kill the receiver? Does that mean that when I had to eventually change the battery that I would have killed it then? The tech guy told me that it was no problem and that I should be able to exchange it for a new one with no out of pocket expense. Great! So I returned the computer with the included shipping label. Time went by. A week after sending it I figured I'd give them a call to see what progress had been made. Funny thing is, they hadn't received it yet. I was worried that it had gotten lost in the mail but I was told by the service agent that it is typical for returns to take three weeks or more to make it to them. THREE WEEKS! I know there is a balance between instant gratification and realistic shipping times but three weeks, plus the initial five days to receive the computer the first time plus the time it will take for them to send out a new one and we're approaching over a month. I know returns can move faster than this. I'm really disappointed that Nashbar obviously choose the absolute cheapest transit label they could possibly find for returns. This sort of sours the whole forever guarantee thing.

Comments about Nashbar Tempo Double Wireless Cycling Computer:

I've had mine about a year now. Still works great. The only problem I've had was when the frame mount sensor got bumped. If the frame sensor is too close to the spoke sensor you get funky readings, usually the mph display will just stop at a number and not move from there. My only real complaint is the display itself. There isn't enough contrast so it can be hard to read at times, especially with sunglasses on. My favorite thing, besides the price, is that they located the cadence right next to the speed on the display.
