Nashbar Fluid Trainer
Bike trainers can get pretty elaborate and pretty pricey, but many cyclists just like to set it up and knock out a ride. Queue the Nashbar Fluid Trainer to experience the ultimate marriage of value, simplicity, and performance. Nashbar's new fluid resistance unit uses an internal flywheel system guaranteeing smooth, consistent delivery of a life-like pedal stroke. The bigger the gear and the more RPMs you generate, the harder the workout. Simple. Just as important, it's quiet enough that you can enjoy whatever media you prefer while training without having to jack up the decibels to overcome the trainer's noise. Plus, easy setup and teardown (with zero cords, cables, or power to worry about) makes it ideal not just for in-home workouts but bring it to a race, too, for the perfect means to get warmed-up and ready to rock.
  • Internal flywheel/fluid system provides excellent resistance and life-like pedal stroke
  • Super simple setup great for bringing along for race warm-ups, travelling, moving around the house
  • Rear quick release skewer included to ensure your bike attaches perfectly
  • Rubber feet on bottom of unit prevent slippage and floor scuffing

Comments about Nashbar Fluid Trainer:

Great for rainy night to get time in the saddle when training for a ride. I leave it out all of the time so I am inclined to use it more. My wife and I ride two different trainers....The Nashbar Fluid seems to have a more even ride.

    Comments about Nashbar Fluid Trainer:

Exactly what I expected, fits all classic bikes with standard axles. Didn't fit my thru axle or disc brake bikes as they were too wide. But all other bikes fit perfectly. Smooth running, durable and steady. Can't be beat for the price.

Mostly plastic made but so far has worked fine. Have not taken bike off since putting on yet so can not speak to durability of plastic locking handle. Overall happy with product thus far.

I purchased this trainer for my wife. I needed something that was easy for her to operate when she wanted to ride indoors. If you're looking for a well build product without a lot of bells and whistles then this is a great choice.

I've only used this a few times no more than 45 mins. It takes about 5 mins for the fluid to warm up and get going. It's very similar to pacing on the road once you set it up. It's fast to get the bike on. It was great when doing intervals on it as well. Compatible with ZWIFT too.

              Comments about Nashbar Fluid Trainer:

I just got into cycling and the bug hit me hard. Wanted to start straining for my first fondo, but with Canadian winters, I needed an indoor trainer. I kind of wanted to keep prices down as initially, buying all my gear hit the wallet pretty good, so I decided to stay away from the likes of kinetic and cycleops, and went with the nashbar branded unit. It's my first trainer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I have no regrets at all in the first few times I've used it. Resistance is enough for me, as I'm dripping sweat after 15mins on it. It's quiet enough that I can hammer down with my sleeping 6-month-old in the bedroom above. You can't really go wrong when you get it on sale with free shipping an added bonus! The warranty makes this an absolute no brainer! I don't really see why people would spend any more on their trainer.

                Comments about Nashbar Fluid Trainer:

I use this trainer about three times a week and it's extremely quiet compared to our other trainer. It's heavy but great construction. I'm a little nervous that some of the plastic pieces won't last forever but for now, they seem great. I would recommend this trainer, especially for the price!

I like that you can put a 29" bike on it. I bought a slick for my mountain bike and it is real quiet when I exercise. This seems to be a good product for the price.

                    Comments about Nashbar Fluid Trainer:

This is an excellent bike trainer, good resistance for those at-home training sessions, and it folds up nicely whenever you need the extra space.

The only setback that I had is that the instructions were not all to clear on how to setup the trainer. The parts aren't labeled and I believe that Nashbar assumes that you already know what the different pieces are. This was the first trainer I purchased so that part wasn't all to helpful.

Other than that, the trainer is great and I do not regret purchasing it at all.
