Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

I like these tires more than I thought I would. they seem to have good traction on hard pack and dry condition. don't think they would be good for mud. very low rolling resistance. cant beat them for this price!!

Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

i do a lot of riding on a combonation of pavement, gravel, dirt roads, as well as single track and off road riding. these tires are as versitile as the terrain i ride. they are not great for steep, loose climbs as a rear tire, but they more than make up for that with speed on hard pack and gravel.

Nice tire for many uses. Low profile in center for road, wide and more tread on sides for trail. Grips all surfaces well. Good spinners.

Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

I bought these for my son's old Cannondale for getting around campus and the occasional trail ride. The price is awesome, so there's that.
The down sides are wire beads and the treads. While the tread might be excellent for fast, smooth trails, I do not expect them to last long riding sidewalks and pavement.

Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

The tread appears way more aggressive in the picture than in your hand. The tread depth when new is less than 2mm deep. I only have a short test ride in dry conditions and the traction was good. Rolling resistance seemed good, likely due to the very shallow tread. Installation went easily Only time will tell how long they last. The good part is they were on sale when I bought them so the the investment was minimal.

Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

Tires grip and work ok, however they have a slight "thump" "thump" "thump" as they turn because they are not truly round. You can see the imperfections if you pick up the bike and spin the wheel.

I put these on for off season road and trail biking (since most MB trails are closed in winter around here). Made standard trails much faster and easier to ride.

These are great tires. Bought them for my wife's 29er. They are a bit heavy but for the price they are holding up well and seem to be working well so far. If you are looking for a tire that will accommodate on/off road applications then this is a great tire. Nashbar always have an eye for great products.

Comments about Nashbar Fuel 26" or 29" Mountain Tire:

I love these tires! I put these on my single speed race bike. They have been awesome. From the get-go they were great. They set up tubeless EFFORTLESSLY. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the bead set with just a floor pump. After 1400 miles I had to replace the rear tire because it was worn down. The front still looks new, and that's after I've ridden these tires hard. At the price these are set at - its almost cheaper than some tubes.

Get em. Ride em. Love em. They rock.
