Get your CX or MTB fix in the dead of winter without your dogs howling in the cold. Lake's new MX 145 Mountain Bike shoe is the answer to cold-weather trail assaults in conditions that are wet, windy, or blustery--but cold--around 30-45 degrees cold. They feature super durable synthetic and waxed canvas uppers and a double boa dial fit setup ensures that your foot stays exactly where you want it in the shoe. MX 145s also feature minimal lugs for a little added traction when walking in wet weather.
Coverage of angle and foot keeps warmth in
Waxed canvas and synthetic leather are rain proof
Injected nylon platform maintains stiffness
Aggressively lugged sole for winter traction when walking
I have worn Lake shoes and know to size up which I did. That still wasn't enough for me. This style is very small in sizing for me and I could have sized up another size and maybe two. I would suggest ordering two sizes to see which fits best.
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
purchase this product to replace another pair of Mountain shoes. However, sizes are not consistent apparently between manufactures. I currently have a size 46 Specialized which are slightly large so purchased size 45 Lake. The size 45 are more similar to Specialized 42. Really would be nice to have a consistent size chart across the board for online ordering. bought these shoes at a reduced price and now with the shipping back and forth are starting to climb up to regular price. Thinking I should have stayed with my local bike shop. ordered a new size, will give review if the new size works out.
