I run these on 26 and 29 inch wheels at 20 lbs on sandy trails/roads. The sidewalks start to lose it at pressures less than 20#. On rocky trails the work well at 30-35#. They are cheap too!

I ride a lot on basalt rock and these tires do the job. I could pay more but frankly, I do not need the performance because I am a recreational rider.

This tire is a good, overall mountain style tire, which still works well on the street. It largely matches the tires, which came on my Specialized hardtail. Good cost effectiveness, however I wish it didn't have the enormous and bold "Chaoyang" on the sidewall.

I live in Northeast Ohio and our weather can be crazy throughout the winter/spring. One day, we may have snow, the next day, we may have rain, then the following day, it's warm and sunny. I was contemplating buying a fat bike for the winter so that I could keep riding throughout the winter, but with the rain (not snow) we've been getting this winter, I opted to upgrade tires instead of getting a fat bike. I'm not trying to say these tires take the place of a fat bike, obviously. But they work for me in NE Ohio where it has been a rainy/muddy winter. I love the price too.

They get the job done in the mud that I have been putting them through on the mountain bike trails!

The tires were great and grabbed at everything I go over. They are a big help and really bite in on the turns. Great for going over the roots and durable enough for the rocks. I have put them through the paces about 5 times now and don't see them giving me any issues. Great buy for the price.

I changed out six tires on three mountain bikes (belonging to my wife and two kids) with these fairly aggressive tires just before a trip to Moab. The tread pattern and tire appearance are very similar to the tires on my own mountain bike, Maxxis Ardents. The tires held up very well to the abuse that Moab is known for, with many hard hits on slickrock, deep sand, and technical climbs and descents. I am very pleased with these tires, with the caveat that they have only been on for ~ 150 miles. My wife's 29er has tubeless setup, and I was a bit worried that these tires wouldn't work. It was a little hard to get the beads to set, but they stayed put just fine and didn't give any problems. So, I'd say that they are tubeless compatible. Good tires for a great price!
