Sometimes it's okay to get fat...like with your mountain bike tires. The Nashbar Grinder Mountain Tire has some of the chunkiest, fattest, most aggressive tread we've ever encountered here. If you're all about tacking on some super-steep, rocky, root-laden trails, this all mountain, all weather tire delivers the goods. Get ready for trail grabbing like never before.
30 TPI is supple for excellent lower-pressure traction
Great set of tires, I needed to replace my Kenda Nevegal's for my 29er and I had been thinking about picking up a set of these. They are so worth it in everyway. The price is hands down great and they are a slight step under my old kendas. They have so much grip even in the lose dirt, gravel and sand they hook right up. They are just a tad bit more weight then my kenda's but for a wire bead tire they are not to bad at all. You would never guess they are nashbar house brand unless you see the logo.
Nashbar did a great job on these. I will be replacing all my tires with these guys once they wear out. Since they have them in 26,27.5 and 29er. Now only if they had a fat bike tire! Dont miss out on these, on sale and with free ship you cant even get one Kenda for the price of a set! If you can find a better tire for a cheaper price Id be more then happy to eat my nashbar grinders!
I am riding all single track with lots of roots, climbs, fast twisty stuff, fast downhills, log piles you name it. They work and very well! No problems with flats and I run them with 26-29psi depending on trail conditions. These are just as good as the 26er Senor Traction Tires Nashbar had out and I am sad I didnt get more of them while I had the chance!
