Comments about Nashbar Handlebar Bag:

After seeing how expensive name brand handlebar bags were, I checked out the Nashbar brand. I used this bag for a trip on the John Wayne Pioneer trail in central WA which is a bumpy old railroad grade over the Cascades. Though my arms took a beating, the bag fared well for the 113 mile trip with no issues. Pros-Durable, inexpensive, holds a lot and stayed secured. Cons-Main cargo unzips away from rider. Makes it hard to access while riding.

    Comments about Nashbar Handlebar Bag:

The bag itself doesn't seem to be the problem; the bag seems well made. The piece that connects it to the handlebars, however, absolute garbage!
It's gigantic, ugly, and USELESS. I only had about 3 lbs in the bag. I tightened the bolts AS TIGHT AS THEY WOULD GO (they were vise-like tight), but every time- I hit a bump, the bag would flop down and rub against my front wheel, which wore a hole in the front of it rather quickly. It's extremely frustrating, having to stop after every pothole to pull the bag back up level with the ground. - The handlebar attachment just does not work, it's ugly with a giant bright orange button, and it connects relatively low on the bag, which will prevent you from using normal handlebar lights. It's an awful, ineffectual design. You're better off with any other bag, even a backpack.
Again, I only used mine to carry a few extra items on a long journey: 2 extra jerseys, 2 pairs of bib shorts, 2 pairs of socks, a small container of sun block, a toothbrush, a peanut butter sandwich, and some band-aids. It all weighed less than 3 lbs. It fit in the bag easily. I tightened the bolts AS TIGHT AS THEY WOULD GO, and every bump in the road made it flop down and rub against the wheel - which wore a hole in the front of the bag.

        Comments about Nashbar Handlebar Bag:

I really like the size of this bag. I also use a bag that clips into my rear rack. The rear bag gets packed with my lunch and the handlebar bag carries everything else.Seems very sturdy and clips in secure.Don't know hows this could be hard to install and the bag will stay level. I use a stem perch to get my headlights above the bag, works great.

              Comments about Nashbar Handlebar Bag:

Ridiculously difficult to install. It's nearly impossible to get the bag to hang level. Plus, it sits above the handlebars and will block most headlights. I returned it.

It was really nice, with 2 or 3 pockets, strapped on easily. It was just too big for what I wanted on the front of my handlebars, so I sent it back.
