Comments about Nashbar Garment Pannier Bag:

I used it twice and had to return it.. The biggest issue the side pockets do not expand at all. I have size 15 shoes and could not get them to fit even diagonally. The other 2 issues I had were the bungee cord straps to help hold the bag in place to my rack.... not particularly easy to access and attach.. The other issue was the shoulder strap had no padding. very uncomfortable for even a short carry..

Comments about Nashbar Garment Pannier Bag:

I have owned a total of 4 Nashbar commuter bags. All were similar until this last. The latest permutation looses functionality (no hangar hook) and quality of construction. This is a very poor choice. It is in my closet and won't be used. Waste of money.

Comments about Nashbar Garment Pannier Bag:

The new garment bag no longer has a bracket inside for a clothes hanger-bad. The new garment bag no longer has straps front and rear- bad. The new garment bag has stronger elastic-good. The hooks on the stronger elastic straps are hard to grab-bad. The new garment bag has a tailight strap- good! Overall the new bag is not as good as the old bag. But it is still a good value even if it tends to be a tad on the heavy side.

    Awkward but Effective

Comments about Nashbar Garment Pannier Bag:

Once a week I take a weeks worth of slacks and shirts to work. Backpacks and panniers smush them and leave them wrinkled. The garment bag is better. While nothing is perfect (you are transporting clothing on a bike, after all) the shirts are wearable. Attaching them was way too difficult, however. I had to adjust the rack down about an inch to have just enough elastic slack to attach them. Too much of a struggle. They are also wide. If you ride a compact frame the back of your heal may catch the bag on the upstroke on occasion.

Comments about Nashbar Garment Pannier Bag:

I commute year round and this is third bag in about 8-9 years. Normal wear and tear degrade the zippers after a few years, even though the bag itself stands up to abuse and always maintain the weather resistance. I got worried as it wasn't available for awhile. This bag allows a fresh set of clothing to be draped on the integral hanger with plenty room for tools, tires, tubes and lunch. Laptop fits nicely at the bottom of the main section. Easily fits onto the rack and a rear blinker light onto the back closure strap makes an effective tail light. Buy this bag and you won't regret it.
