Comments about Louis Garneau Pro Max 2 Shorts:

I have several brands of shorts and these are by far the most comfortable. I have ridden 80+ miles in them without any soreness. The leg cuff is exceptional- I usually get a lot of constriction around my thighs because I have a smaller waist and large thighs but the wide cuff without any grippy stuff stays in place without the constriction. Just the right amount of compression. The pad is thick so if you are commuting or walking around you might not like that, but its great on the saddle. The 7 panel design lets them fit just right. The graphics are reflective.

Another good pair of shorts ruined by a chamois that resembles a 1950's sanitary napkin. Bunches up horribly in the taint area causing great pain!

Only used a few times but enjoying the fit and comfort. Decent amount of padding where needed. Nice high waist works to cover back as well as keep my waist looking a little slimmer.

quick wicking ability of the material. fairly light. chamois is perfect fit. I got the small size I am 145 lbs 5' 3". Unable to comment on reliability because I have used it only four times. Also for the price this is a great value

I bought a pair of these a couple weeks back. I really like the way they cushion the ride. Best I have ever had. Usually don't give feedback but I am so happy, I am going to order more. Been riding for about twenty years, and have not been comfortable until now. Can't comment on wear etc. with such short time of ownership. Look good too.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro Max 2 Shorts:

Like the fit, especially around the waist. Have been wearing mostly Nashbar brand shorts but find them to be "slight and tight" on material and they tend to slide down in the back, leaving some of my lower back exposed when fully crouched for road riding. These LG shorts seem to ride more comfortably higher in the back, and just seem more comfortable and substantial overall than other brands I've tried (including PI). At an athletic 6'2", 34 waist, the XL fits me well in the waist and crotch (better than a L would), but then the leg openings are a bit too large (common problem with lean legs; I like a little more room in the waist and crotch, but then the legs end up a bit loose...but not too bad with these, best compromise in waist size to leg openings that I've owned in an XL). Overall, and so far, I like these shorts better than any I've owned in the past 30 years. I liked them enough to buy a second pair. I like the logo on the thigh, but HATE the logo on the butt! Sorry, but guys shouldn't have logo's on, or across, the butt, and it just gives another reason for ignorant redneck drivers to run me off the road! Actually thinking of blacking it out with a marker. A minor beef, but it's just not cool, and actually, I think, a hazard, for the stated reason.
