It's the best of road and mountain bikes rolled into one: the Diamondback Calico Sport Bike combines mountain bike-like geometry with the efficiency of larger 700c wheels for versatility on or off the road. A 6061-T6 Butted Aluminum Dual Sport frame gives a durable, yet responsive ride, and its disc brake mount is located on the chainstay, giving you room to bolt-on a fender or rack for commuting. The SR SUNTOUR NVX fork with a Mechanical Lock out and 75mm of travel adds stability and dampens vibrations to keep you comfortable over changing terrain. Plus, a 24-speed Shimano drivetrain with SR Suntour XCT triple cranks offer a wide range of gears for the hills and the flats. Tektro Novela mechanical disc brakes with 6' rotors deliver all-condition stopping power.

Comments about Diamondback Calico Sport Women's Hybrid Bike:
The Diamondback bikes from Nashbar are an overall good value. The large front sprocket was slightly bent on arrival, and it wasn't damaged during shipment. I suspect this is a quality control issue with the crankset itself. Shipping took less than one week via UPS, which was a plus. Assembly took slightly less than one hour. Expect, however, to look at on-line videos and on-line information as to how to adjust the front and rear deraillers, if you don't already know how, because you will need to do it and the supplied information is generally very poor. The derailler mountings were only put on loosely to finger tight, so I don't think any ajustment was done at the factory or dealer.
