Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire
The Michelin Krylion Carbon road tire is an extremely durable clincher, yet retains a superb ride quality. The key to its durability is its thicker center tread. It's reinforced with carbon, which gives you 30% more tread life, so it's not unusual to get thousands of miles on these great all-around tires. Ideal for racing or long-distance training, these tires also deliver a superb grip in wet or dry conditions and are highly resistant to cuts and punctures. They feel sublime, as well, out on the road due to the 127 TPI casing which creates an extra supple ride.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

Riding a Specialized road bike, I used to get replacement tubes and tires from Specialized at the shop I purchased my bike at. After numerous flats and replaced tires due to ware, I gave these a try. Although they're ready to replace after 2000 miles, I'm thrilled with them and not a single flat all year!

Writing from the perspective of a non-pro but avid rider/Sprint Triathlon participant w/o all the technical jargon:

These tires strike a nice balance of everything I look for: durability, solid grip when cornering, low rolling resistance, & comfortable ride - all at nice price. What else is there?

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

I've used Michelin Krylion Carbon tires for many years and like them very much. They are not the lightest ones but very durable. I usually get around 4K miles out of them. Up until 2K miles there usually no flats. The only thing that I am missing is different sidewall colors. I used to buy yellow ones but recently only red ones became available.

Keep coming back to these after experimenting with other, more expensive tires. These have become my "go to" training tires.

I had a set of these tires and went from March to September without a flat. With that track record I ordered another pair and often they are on sale.
Biggest problem is mounting. Very hard!

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

Good tire to use on the front wheel. Durable and somewhat puncture resistant. I ride about 5000 miles a year. Use about 2 of these tires per year. Always remember to check your wheels and tires after about hundred miles and patch any cuts.

Comments about Michelin Krylion Carbon Road Tire:

Since purchasing these tires, we have had numerous flats. We rode about 250 miles on these tires, to date, we have had over 10 flats on the one bike with these tires. The other bike has a different brand of tires - no flats, same roads and same time frame.
