Comments about Nashbar Rambler City Tire:

I bought this as a replacement for a 20+ year-old tire on an old cheapy bike that I keep at work for riding around campus. Not much to say about a tire, but I liked it enough that I bought another to replace the front tire, which didn't really need it. I don't recommend it for anything off-road, since the tread is pretty much smooth with channels, but for around town, it's perfect, and at a good price. Would (and probably will) buy again!

Hybrid bike came with narrow 700X28 tire. This tire 700X38 was cheap, seems well constructed and is much more comfortable with better control on city streets.

Comments about Nashbar Rambler City Tire:

I currently have 5300 miles on these and the rear is showing wear so I purchased another set. They've been carrying my 190 lb weight and 35 lb hybrid with 700 x 38c tires on 90% road and 10% trail and off road use. The 38c cross section is large which gives me confidence when jumping curbs and handling the lousy uneven pavement that we have in Michigan. They've proven durable and sure footed without a single flat. The simple tread rolls smoothly without noise. I don't like tires that feel like they have to scream their brand and look like spinning billboards so these simple all black with subtle graphics look great to me. I just purchased a 35c tire to see if it makes any difference in speed. Don't hesitate to buy it for city commuting or for recreation.

This is one of my fav street tires for my MTBs that I use on the road for conditioning. They are a decent width for and have fair low rolling resistance. Very Durable and dependable. One of the best tire buys around for my needs.

Comments about Nashbar Rambler City Tire:

LOVE THIS TIRE. GREAT PRICE FOR A RUBBER TIRE THAT WORKS GREAT ON THE ROAD AND SIDEWALKS. HAD LOTS OF PUNCTURE TUBE ISSUES BEFORE GETTING THIS TIRE. HAVEN'T HAD ONE SINCE. 700X38 WAS THE FIRST SET I HAD. SUPER CONFORT. ITS A BIG TIRE I KNOW. THEN I GOT 700X32 AND I LOVE EVEN MORE. MORE FIRM BUT HANDLES THE ROAD GREAT. STILL A WIDE TIRE BUT I ENJOY THE FORGIVENESS. AMAZING PRICE FOR A TIRE THAT LASTS A LONG TIME.

bought 700x38 to replace existing tires, however measured widths are 40.2 and 40.7. Ok for front tire, but rear tire rubs against frame.
