    Comments about Cannondale Booties:

I commute 40 miles a day year round in Pittsburgh. These are probably the best, most versatile and easiest to use booties I have used. Having been an avid cyclist for 30+ years I have gone through my fair share of equipment and clothing.

PROS: These booties are by far the easiest I have ever put on. I can slip then on in seconds standing on one foot. There is no need to contort, pull or otherwise strain a muscle to get them on. They are exceptionally warm. No bootie is water-resistant, but these are about as close as I have been. Riding in heavy downpour my feet stay dry for about 30 minutes, then you can feel the water seeping in because now the bootie itself is saturated. But the feet still say warm. The booties are also very durable. Other booties wear out after a season or two of use. These have lasted the entire year and show no sign of wearing out yet.

CONS: The toe section is kind of poorly fitted and sticks out a bit. This is only a problem if you are used to toeing it into your road cleats, then it might get caught in the toe of the pedal occasionally . I commute with SPD so it isn't an issue.

Overall I can't see why these are getting a bad rap and keep going on sale. Maybe Nashbar has overstock. Either way - you should get them if they are still available in your size.

I wear 44-45 shoes depending on style and brand. The LARGE booties easily fit over both of those sizes including my winter shoes (although the are a little tighter on these shoes).

I hope this helps out if you are on the fence about them.

      Comments about Cannondale Booties:

These are decent booties. The toe sticks out a little as it doesn't follow the rounded shape of the shoe, but it doesn't really affect the function. Because they are so cheap, I got a large and an XL to cover my normal size 44 shoes and my winter 45's.

Large size did not fit Exclusar Mountain shoes size 43. These shoes are not shaped like a road shoe, So I hoped they would fit. They were too snug, I plan on reordering the XL. I can't comment on durability or quality reason for the 3 stars.

              Comments about Cannondale Booties:

These booties are ugly but well made. The velcro closure is much easier to use and less breakable than a zipper. Reasonably thick neoprene. Not sure about the durability yet. Hard to beat at the price. I wear a Euro 47 shoe and the XL is big enough to get on/off easily but not loose.

Good price, easy to put on, like the reinforced toe. Only con is sizing, I am a size 12, ordered the XL could probably fit both shoes in one bootie. For price of return shipping, not worth sending back

              Comments about Cannondale Booties:

I wanted something to keep my feet warm on winter rides and these will do the trick. They only claim to be "water resistant", so at least they are honest about their ability to keep out water. The stretchy neoprene makes them relatively easy to put on, but it also makes your feet look puffy. No points for style! One thing missing (and the reason I knocked off a star) is a size chart. I had to guess. Lucky for me that size L fit my size 45 bike shoes. Take your measure from that.

                  Comments about Cannondale Booties:

I was looking for an oversize neoprene shoe cover that could readily fit over my cycling shoes without a struggle. This one does the trick, and at over 70% off MSRP, the price was right. The reflective material at the back and sides is a plus.
