CatEye Strada Slim Wireless Computer
Cateye put its popular Strada on a diet and the resulting Strada Slim Wireless Computer is a svelte, minimalist marvel. Redesigned circuitry in the computer creates a head unit that's 35% thinner and lighter than its predecessor, yet the screen size grew by 23%. The fork sensor underwent an even bolder metamorphosis, with the resulting Slim Sensor now mounted on the inner edge of the fork blade so it is virtually out of sight, giving your road bike a sleek, aerodynamic look. All of the Strada's impressive list of features and capabilities (see specs tab for full list) are still included so you can track your distances, times, speeds, pace, and averages to your heart's content.

Comments about CatEye Strada Slim Wireless Computer:

My favorite Cateye computer. It has a bigger, easy-to-read screen but is not too big like the Padrone. It's simple, with the one-click button, is slim and looks good on the bike. The slim speed sensor fits nicely inside my fork blade but it will also work with Cateye's traditional speed sensor. It looks good on Cateye's Out Front mount and Cateye's traditional stem mount. It's a bit pricey for a non-GPS model so get it on sale.

Comments about CatEye Strada Slim Wireless Computer:

    Good and bad points…
Good: 1) Bigger screen – easier to see & read data. 2) Unlike another reviewer, I found it be easy to program. 3) Pace arrow. Unlike the much bigger Padrone model, this unit has a pace arrow letting you know if your current speed is faster or slower than your average speed so far. 4) Fits snugly & nicely into a genuine CatEye "out front" bracket – not the knock-off model sold by Nashbar. (Sorry Nashbar)

Bad: Just one… I'm ready to give up on wireless units because of outside electrical interference. Although it's winter now as I type this up, (Jan. 20, 2016) in nicer (warmer) weather I ride a LOT in pre-dawn conditions to avoid the heat of the day. I've tried just about all the wireless models from CatEye – both with an analog & digital signal. If you run a strong headlight (especially in flashing mode) they will ALL go blank.

I know…wired models are a pain in the rear to install. They also make cleaning your bike more difficult. And the CatEye Strada Cadence has a much smaller screen. But it's much more accurate!

After all that, I'd still recommend this unit if you don't ride at night or pre-dawn.

clear display, light, hard to program

Comments about CatEye Strada Slim Wireless Computer:

Cateyes have served me well over the years. This model is improved in that the display's numbers (not their labels, though) are easy to read, even with polarized sunglasses. However, the instructions about how to program the wheel diameter and clock are not clear enough, and the programming buttons on the underside are too hard to use. The default tire size number exactly matches my 700 x 23 tire--very accurate over 85 miles, when compared to my friend's GPS.
