Comments about AGU Varese Softshell Jacket:

Wow. I guess I'm obese at 6'3" and 250 lbs. The material and workmanship on this jacket looked and felt like a quality product. Unfortunately, the Euro 2x is much different than the American 2x. I guess I'm just another fat American LOL (I do enjoy my beer). I'm still searching for a good mosture wicking riding jacket that will fit my frame.

Odd fit

Comments about AGU Varese Softshell Jacket:

I ordered a size large after reading the reviews though I often wear mediums. It was very tight, especially in the armpits. Was this European sizing/cut? Also, the zipper clasp is on the wrong side -- is it a women's?
Unfortunately I had to return it.

Comments about AGU Varese Softshell Jacket:

This is my second Jacket. I have been riding in the Winter in MI in temps 30F and below. With the proper base layer this jacket will keep you warm. It blocks the wind and keeps the heat in. It does run small in size. I normally wear 2X and bought the 2X for this jacket. It fits but is snug, not a problem though. I would recommend this to anyone riding in cold weather.

Very nice jacket. Way to small. I ordered a XXL and it fit like a medium. I normally wear a large or extra large. If you wear an XL better order XXL and even then it might be to small.

Comments about AGU Varese Softshell Jacket:

I cycled just over 6k miles in 2015 have owned and heavily used several Agu products. I absolutely love them. I'm just over 6'...205 lbs. and these clothes fit like a dream. This jacket is no exception. One of the nicest features in the height of the collar. Because it goes so far up your neck, blazing down a decline won't chill you down.

Durability has always been outstanding for AGU but unfortunately not with this jacket. After about a dozen washes, the seam near the bottom/side failed and the jacket started coming apart up towards the armpit. Interesting enough, it wasn't ripping but it seemed as if the heat tape was giving way. The jacket material is rather thin...and I found someone who tried to sew it. It worked, but it looks a bit beat and has fallen off my list of favorite jackets. It's a shame because everything else about the jacket has my full support.

Comments about AGU Varese Softshell Jacket:

It's a nice jacket but it's not very breathable. I can only use it under 40 degrees (with a base layer) or it's too hot. Actually, above 30 degrees I unzip half-way after 10-15 minutes of riding. It's that warm. Might work for you if you ride at a casual pace and your route is flat. I actually like the Nashbar jacket better because it's more breathable. I am 5'10" and 180 and large fits me well.

The fit is good and it goes down in back which is perfect. Don't ride in extreme weather but keeps me warm in 40-60 degrees. It was a gift from my wife and I am glad she did her research.
