      Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I recently bought a new high quality mountain bike but because my bottom has been on all kinds of saddles for the last 48 years I prefer some degree of comfort that wasn't to my liking with the original seat. I first bought the Nashbar FR-1 saddle a few years ago. This one is my 3rd. After weighing it I discovered that it's fairly light and because of the center cut out it agrees with my old bottom. I wouldn't use it on a road racing bike. But I have the FR-1 on my older mountain bike and my gravel bike.

        Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I chose this saddle based on the outstanding reviews. I was really surprised that such a light saddle was so comfortable. Be advised, this is a narrow saddle which happens to be what fits me perfectly.

          Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

The search for the most comfortable saddles mantra
If you been looking for a comfortable saddle, add this one to your list too try, if you ever been saddle fitted.
Very comfortable saddle. So a 134 width saddle is for my sit bones.
For some with bigger sit bones, it wouldn't be as comfortable. Ide say try the Fizik line of saddles.
The rear gel density the pr1 has and shape for the rear gel is spot on with my sit bones the mid cutout is better suited for a Gran - Fondo endurance trip. I slide around on this saddle and the nose is just as comfortable as the rear gel. great for a commuter of even racing and MTB use.
I use this saddle every day of the week.
I hope you have it in white again to remedy the 100+ degree summer scorching heat.

            Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I bought this for my 1988 Panasonic, which incidentally, has had numerous upgrades to make it a more modern machine. I occasionally commute 17 miles round trip to work, as well as weekend rides are in the 25-30 mile range. It didn't take long to get dialed in, there is a solid 5" fore-aft adjustment built into the saddle. The first ride (25 miles) was quite good, especially considering a new saddle. After a number of rides, including 10 miles without my bike shorts, no complaints.

              Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

In the past, I always tried to buy Selle Italia Flights, or similar saddles, but that gets expensive. I bought my first FR1 2 years ago for a lightweight mtb because it was on sale for $19 and had good reviews. I had low expectations. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised when it proved to be comfortable, durable, and light weight. So I've now bought a second for a nice TI road bike I'm building. Hey, it saves money for better hubs, with no loss of comfort or weight penalty. Who's to complain?

                Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

I'm a large frame rider and recently broke my Specialized seat that came on my 2008 Roubaix. Not wanting to spend a lot to replace, I began looking at the bargain seats. Much to my surprise, the FR1 had better ratings than many of the high dollar big name brands. When the seat arrived the design looked great, it was easy to install, it's comfortable and at least as good as I had if not better and I probably have not even got it broke in yet. RJ

                  Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

Comfortable Saddle. Purchased my first older model F1 Saddle over 10 years ago for my Road Bike. Purchased my second F1 Saddle in 2010 for my old Touring Bike. Used it for my Cycling trip across Canada in 2012, 8,200 plus klms. Replaced my Mountain Bike Saddle with an F1 Saddle as well.
This newer model FR1 Saddle replaced my old Road Bike F1 Saddle. Not disappointed buying this type of Saddle again. It works for me.

                    Comments about Nashbar FR1 Saddle:

Purchased this saddle before touring NJ from the northern most part (High Point) to the southern most part (Cape May). 4-day ride and this saddle was wonderful. We had one day over a hundred miles in the saddle and it was perfect. A lot of guys running Fizik saddles on high-end road bikes... I was pacing right along with them on my Nashbar Cyclocross 105 with this saddle just as comfortable as all of them. Great purchase! Already had a buddy of mine order one!!
