Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes

The Giro Alpineduro isn't just a biking shoe. It's a rugged, hiking shoe that happens to clip into a bike pedal. With a grippy, Vibram rubber outsole, PrimaLoft insulation, and a clip-in, pedal-ready nylon shank that doesn't sacrifice walking comfort or grip, the Alpineduro is the all-weather, all-terrain adventurer. There's even an optional cleat cover for flat pedal use and a flexible forefoot zone for walking.

Perfect for the MTB rider who enjoys hiking as well as biking or the everyday commuter, the Alpineduro is the perfect shoe for riding in the winter. The breathable microfiber and waterproof liner will keep your feet dry and comfortable despite the elements, while the PrimaLoft insulation keeps them warm. The rubber tow and heel reinforcement will protect against injury, as will the reflective details that will be seen in low-light situations. The brushed EVA footbed with X-Static anti-microbial treatment will even help keep your feet clean regardless of what you step in.

Comments about Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes:

Good durable shoe, not heavy and looks good. Laces not the best closure system for biking but they are lower price than higher end ones. Not happy with insulation. Feet get cold below 40s unless you wear thick socks

Comments about Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes:

Certainly warm with thin socks @ 30-40f. Hasn't gotten colder yet, but I suspect it's good below that and in the wet. Comfortable to walk in, as well.

Impressive quality, but too narrow for me.

Comments about Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes:

I was really looking forward to these being my fall/spring riding shoes to keep my feet comfy warm, but was disappointed. I have "D" width feet and found these to be uncomfortably narrow. Construction looked really nice though. If Giro offers a wider width I may be tempted to order a pair.

Comments about Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes:

In temperatures ranging from 20 to 60 degrees F, my feet were perfectly comfortable. 100% waterproof. Stylish, not obnoxious, the shoes even come with extra shoelaces in black. Stiff structure inside the sole allows for excellent power transfer to the pedals, while the soft rubber sole is comfortable for walking and hiking. I rode 700 miles on roads and trails in winter without any discomfort. Buy a half size larger than you normally wear.

Comments about Giro Alpineduro Winter Shoes:

Great comfortable shoe. Bought these to use with my Fat Bike to ride in the winter. I also chose these boots since it says you can also hike. I wear a women's 10 and bought the 44 and they fit superb! Used them in 30 degree weather and kept the toes warm. I'm so ready for the snow! But, great product and very comfortable riding shoe!

I enjoy riding but not the cold. I tried covers for my shoes but was still cold. These shoe have been great. I got them 1 size bigger so I could wear thick wool socks. I have used them about 10 times in the low 30's.
