Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

I now own several pairs of these gloves, choice of colours is the most important part on the bike right? 90percent image!!! I don't like wearing gloves, but on the road I feel a little protection is needed. There's no padding in these to speak of, which I like : ) So they are not for everyone. I now even use them on my mountain bike, they just work. Better grip when you are sweaty and some added protection when you decide to stick your face in the dirt....
On sale I think I paid like $8.00!!! A steal!!! So I keep buying more, just wish they had more blue mediums in stock!

Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

Use for roadies. Size chart for me said medium. Bought medium and large. Kept both but medium is tight and large fits fine. I suggest to size one up. Very comfortable for me. Basic and inexpensive is what this should be and is.

Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

Light weight with NO Velcro closure to snare any other garments, these are my go to glove for long and short rides. The fabric thumbs give just enough absorption for brow sweat or snot rockets. Great ventilation through the palm. Lighter padding than some, I find it sufficient even over rough roads.

Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

I normally take a size L in all glove purchases, so that is what I ordered. These gloves are so tight that I have difficulty getting them off in spite of the tabs on 2 of the fingers. I decided to keep them and hope that they will stretch so that I will have an easier time getting them on and off.

Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

I really like these gloves. They're lightweight, and they have little padding, which I like. I especially like that they don't have a velcro strap. They may be a bit harder to take off at the end of the ride, but they feel better throughout the ride in my opinion. And they're silly-cheap.

My only issue is the sizing, and this isn't really a criticism as much as it is just something to be aware of. My hands are 9", which puts me right in the middle of a M (8-9) and a L (9-10). I bought a medium because I like gloves snug. But these are just a little bit too snug for me. They actually cause me some discomfort and numbness because they pull too hard on the skin where my fingers come together. At the price of these, I'm going to address this by buying a larger size.

Comments about Louis Garneau Challenger Gloves:

I miss the adjustable velcro wrist strap that was on the other Louis Garneau gloves I've had over the last eight or nine years. That's not a crippling drawback, however, and it possibly explains the slightly lower price of these vis the company's other models.
