You'll certainly be at home in the woods with a pair of Giro Timbre mountain shoes on your feet. The nylon and EVA sole provides a firm platform for pedaling efficiency while ensuring there's just enough give to make walking a pleasure. And speaking of walking, the Timbre sports an impressively rugged tread to keep you firmly planted to the ground when hike-a-bike sections or just simply strolling around are in the cards.
  • Synthetic and mesh upper is supportive and breathable
  • Nylon/EVA sole ensures pedaling efficiency while providing just enough flex for walking stints off the bike
  • Traditional lace closure coupled with a hook and loop strap ensures a precision fit
  • Rugged sole ensures plenty of traction and bite for walking on the trail
  • Aegis anti-microbial treatment on footbed
  • 2-bolt pedal system compatible

Comments about Giro Timbre Mountain Shoes - Nashbar Exclusive:

I have used these for both commuting and pulling my son in a trailer. They are GREAT. I'm a 9 / 9.5 US and chose a 43. A little roomy in the toe box but I'm going to replace the insoles at some point anyway and that will probably take care of that. The high vis yellow is a nice plus as well when you are riding in traffic.

Comments about Giro Timbre Mountain Shoes - Nashbar Exclusive:

I like a lace up shoe that fits well and is not cumbersome. This fits all my needs for now. We do a bit of cycle touring and this shoe can be worn with cleats and still walk around town or a restaruant and not feel weird about it.

Comments about Giro Timbre Mountain Shoes - Nashbar Exclusive:

I really use these for spinning, so don't hate me, but i have used these twice and definitely like them way more than the shoes they give out at the spinning location. I purchased these from nashbar and received them in at most 5 days even though i didn't pay for the 5 day shipping. i really have no complaint. the shoes are great.

Comments about Giro Timbre Mountain Shoes - Nashbar Exclusive:

Great shoes! Has a better stiff/springy sole than my $200 Sidis. These would be almost perfect if the cleat could move back a 1/4 -1/2 inch more. They breath very well but are not great protecting your toes from the cold and wet.

It has been a number of years since I purchased from Nashbar, and I'm sure I wont be disappointed. They have the selection and the input from users to help guide you in your search for the best equipment for your needs. Just returning to hard core biking, and this was were I turned for equipment. Wanted an entry level shoe for summer rides and exercise, and I think I found it. Will let you know more after a couple of hundred miles....

These shoes are well-made, and a bargain. Excellent sneaker-style tread design makes them perfect for the recreational on-and-off the bike weekend warrior. They fit like regular shoes, not the ultra-stiff roadie shoes, but they're firm enough for good support on the pedals. And hey, they're good LOOKING to boot. No complaints!

Comments about Giro Timbre Mountain Shoes - Nashbar Exclusive:

I purchased a pair of these in August of 2016. They've lasted through about 500 miles of road riding and around 50 of singletrack and rock garden trails. Unfortunately, both shoes have had the tread separate from the shoe up front near the toe. Not sure how long biking shoes are supposed to last, but I wanted to get at least a year of use out of these.
