AGU CT085 Mountain Shoes
Dutch cycling clothing manufacturer AGU has put their considerable know-how to work in creating the CT085 mountain shoe -- a remarkable value for your off-road needs. The nylon sole provides a rigid platform for pedaling efficiency while ensuring there's just enough give for off-the-bike walking. The CT085's rubber tread features plenty of lugs for traction on hike-a-bike sectors out on the trail. The synthetic leather and mesh upper is built tough to handle the rigors of off-road riding and provides much-needed ventilation for comfort in warmer conditions. And for easy adjustability and the ability to dial in the perfect fit, the CT085 sports the classic triple Velcro strap retention system.
  • Nylon sole provides plenty of stiffness
  • Rubber outsole ensures off-the-bike traction
  • Synthetic leather upper is supple and stretch-resistant
  • Reinforced heel for maximum power transfer
  • Mesh panels in upper ensure optimum breathability and ventilation
  • Triple Velcro strap closure system provides easy adjustments, even on the fly
  • 2-bolt cleat compatible
  • Reflective accents enhance visibility in low-light conditions

Comments about AGU CT085 Mountain Shoes:

Bought these to allow my niece to clip into my spin bike. She is a novice cyclist and started cycling to loose a little weight to go into the military. I put these with mountain bike pedals and clips to make inclipping easier than A road bike clip.

Comments about AGU CT085 Mountain Shoes:

Bought these for recreational/exercise road cycling because I wanted something I could use with toe-clips and transition to cleats. They have a good tread for walking as needed, or pedaling a flat pedal. The Velcro made use with toe-clips occasionally tricky, catching on the strap, bit I was pleased using them that way overall. When I switched to using them with cleats, I found they work very well with the Nashbar Rodeo Deluxe pedals and cleats. They are quite comfortable and fit true to size. They are a bit heavy, but I don't find that a problem.

Comments about AGU CT085 Mountain Shoes:

Looks good. Delivered as promised. I ware a size 9-D regular shoe so ordered size 43 (since half number sizes are not available.) With the three Velcro adjustment straps I was able to make these fit perfectly. I also like the fact that--after removal of the rubber cleat hole cover--I was able to install my Crank brothers cleats without the shims and using the short screws. The cleat is now deeply recessed so protected from wear, or catching on carpet, in walking yet easily clicks into my Candy 2 pedals. Some much more expensive shoes listed a lighter weight but otherwise I can't see any way they would be better.

Screws are too short for SPD cleats

By Dave has a screw loose

        About Me Casual/ Recreational

Comments about AGU CT085 Mountain Shoes:

So happy to get these, fit perfect, seem great, nice stiff bottom. went to put my cleats on, can't get the threads to catch at all, screws seem way too short. Now I have a cleat screw measurement and shopping project. Hooray. What size are the screws that come with it? what are the specs to buy longer screws? Do they have to be hardened steel?
