MET Stradivarius HES Road Helmet
Gerald Ciolek appreciates how easily you can forget you're wearing a MET Stradivarius HES helmet, even during iconic races such as the Milan-San Remo which he won in 2013 in absolutely hellish weather conditions. He certainly won't be disappointed with this updated Stradivarius HES version as MET made their top-of-the-line performer even lighter and more comfortable. Its Homothetic Embedded Skeleton (HES) construction process involves fusing two homothetic shells, allowing the pressure that builds up at the point of impact to be spread across the helmet for more effective shock dissipation. Full Gel O2 padding feels super-comfortable on the hottest rides and helps keep the helmet perfectly in position. The Air Lite straps and dividers shave grams while remaining strong, aerodynamic, and moisture-wicking. Additionally, the Safe-T Advanced retention system easily adjusts via a dial plus goes around the whole circumference of the head for better shock absorption and dissipation.
  • Homothetic Embedded Skeleton (HES) technology spreads the pressure built up at the impact point and dissipates the force of the impact over the whole shell more effectively
  • In-Mold construction fuses the outer and inner shells together to increase shock absorption, boost durability, and decrease weight
  • Intelligent Fusion Process uses different densities of material to improve the weight/volume ratio while optimizing the shock absorption capacity
  • Polycarbonate shell wraps the bottom of the helmet towards the inside of the shell for extra strengthening and support
  • 23 large vents channel air through the front and out the back for superior cooling
  • Safe-T Advanced retention system is lightweight, easy to adjust via a dial, and features a broader contact area to better distribute pressure
  • Gel O2 Padding is made from thermo-stabilizing polyurethane morpho-gel for optimal cooling and comfort, plus it's hypo-allergenic, anti-bacterial, adapts to any head shape, and directs sweat to the side of the face and away from the eyes
  • Air Lite Straps are lightweight, strong and moisture-wicking
  • Embedded Strap Anchoring Points improve aerodynamics and tensile strength
  • Reflective accents enhance visibility in low-light conditions

Comments about MET Stradivarius HES Road Helmet:

I bought this helmet, in yellow/white/black, to replace a helmet that had outworn its desired shelf life. I thought the quality of this product would lend itself to a long lasting product. Instead, after two days of riding, the top yellow has completely faded to a yellowish white. Now, aesthetics aren't everything, and the construction is durable and sound, but when you spend this kind of money on a helmet, even when discounted, you expect better.

Comments about MET Stradivarius HES Road Helmet:

Replaced a Kali Maraka and immediately noticed less wind noise. Very good air flow around the head including right on your forehead thanks to the pads that don't compress all the way leaving a little space where air flows. Easy to adjust strap position and length. Dial adjuster on back works very well to tighten or loosen a click to get it just right. Was looking at the Giro Synthe but it's almost three times more expensive.

Comments about MET Stradivarius HES Road Helmet:

Helmet looks nice and fits great. The gel pads feel great but there is nothing in the helmet to absorb the sweat. Because of this the sweat drips down on the inside of your glasses. I can fix that with a sweat band. Other than that I'm pleased with the helmet.
