The Mekk Pinerolo SE 0.4 disc road bike is a remarkable value that represents both a nod to the past and future. The SE 0.4 sports classic road geometry that has stood the test of time from its origins on the roads of Europe but also features the modern addition of mechanical disc brakes that up the ante for stopping power in any weather conditions. The SE 0.4 double-butted aluminum frame and carbon fiber fork provide a superb, high-performance platform. The aforementioned disc brakes are a Promax mechanical version which are superbly reliable as well as easy to maintain. The Shimano 105 shifters and derailleurs are true workhorses that deliver precision, super-smooth shifting plus an incredibly high standard of durability for the 2x11-speed drivetrain. Complementing the 105 11-speed components and disc brakes is a set of disc brake-specific Shimano RX31 aluminum wheels that also deliver superb performance. They feature 24mm deep rims, bladed straight pull spokes (24 front/rear), plus Shimano's renowned smooth-rolling hubs and the wheelset is paired with Schwalbe Lugano tires that are the epitome of dependability. A complement of Mekk's own Saturae components for the handlebars, stem, seatpost, saddle, as well as compact crankset are lightweight and durable and round out this aluminum rocket ship that's ready to blast off over hill & dale or anywhere the road takes you.
Mekk is the brainchild of Mark Edwards (ME) and Ken Knight (KK), a pair of Brits with extensive experience in high-performance cycling in both the racing and production realms.
