I have purchased many Nashbar saddles through the years and have rarely been disappointed. This one is lightweight, comfortable and matched my bike's color scheme to a T. Great price, love the saddle.

      Comments about Nashbar PFR1 Saddle:

I was seduced by the high ratings on this site. Guess what? Everyone's hips are different. I guess my sit bones are a bit wider than average.

This narrow saddle just doesn't work for me. It was incredibly uncomfortable from the get go. I'm not talking five minutes in, or half an hour in, I'm talking about halfway down the street.

There are some great positives here if you a) have narrow sit bones and b) want or need or can tolerate a cutout. Unfortunately for me, a very narrow saddle with a cutout is just about the worst possible combination.

The saddle is well constructed, lightweight and nice looking. But none of that matters if the seat is uncomfortable because it doesn't fit your anatomy.

At the very least, I now know what type of saddle works for me.

Bent the heck out of my original saddle on my mtn bike . Tried this saddle so far it's stood up to most abuse. Comfy too.

          Comments about Nashbar PFR1 Saddle:

This saddle caught my eye for its design and I thought for low sale price I'll give it a try. I also checked the specs on weight and to my surprise it was only 235g. I currently have a Specialized Phenom which I really like, but not 100% sure its the "perfect" saddle for me. My first ride out and I was surprised how comfortable it was, I could push back onto my sit bones and it left my soft tissue parts almost elevated...zero pain even in the drops. When I was hammering uphill and sliding up on the saddle, it again was very comfortable. I know as this saddle gets broken in, it will just be that much more comfortable. Its an unbelievable value for the quality, weight, and design, I'm ordering another one for my cross bike!
