      Comments about Nashbar Hero Shorts:

I bought 3 pairs of these on a whim when they were on sale, one of each color. The colors are neat and the blue is a little darker than it appears on this site. They are very basic shorts with a chamois that feels stiff when walking around in (almost feels like I'm wearing a diaper); this becomes less so when they are broken in. You have to pull them up uncomfortably high for them to work well. All in all, I couldn't recommend them to a friend because you get what you pay for and there are better shorts out there. However, they are great for the price and it's hard to beat them when they go on sale.

          Comments about Nashbar Hero Shorts:

Just right for fitness rides. Very comfortable once you are on the bike, although the plastic padding
is a bit much to walk around in. Bought large size and it is adequate for 35 inch waist, probably not much
          more. Seems a sturdy fabric.

            Comments about Nashbar Hero Shorts:

OK so "The Rules" say nothing but black shorts with muted logos or team names...nonsense. I got a few of these in red and blue when they were on deep discount. They fit well and the chamois is good enough for 2-3 hours of riding (not that I've tried them for any longer). Shorts work well for cycling and also as compression shorts under workout clothes. I've used them and abused them and they have held up well. These may be worn alone or under MTB baggies for extra comfort in the man-feels region. I like the fact that the sorts have a drawstring since my build tends to push shorts down... If your ego does not clamor for big names on cycling shorts, be a hero and get a few of these on sale

                Comments about Nashbar Hero Shorts:

Decent shorts for 1.5hr rides. Padding is not as thick as others and I like that. The legs stay put and are not uncomfortable to me. Some of the thread in the stitching tore as I put them on one time. I restitched by hand and continued to use them. I ordered another pair to hold in reserve in case these begin wearing or have more stitching issues. I ride 3 times a week about 20 to 25 miles each time and they are holing up fine except for the stitching issue. For the price you won't go wrong.

the pad wears very low so it does not cover the butt. I wore it on a short ride and I had sore butt right away...
