NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight / Solas 100 Tail Light Combo
To ensure you can see as well as be seen when riding at night, the NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight/Solas 100 Tail Light Combo provides a superb illumination and safety package deal.

The NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight provides enough light that it can be used in just about all riding conditions, whether on the road, on your favorite mountain biking trails, or hand-held in Walk Mode. Specifically designed to meet the needs of riders across a range of disciplines, the Lumina 950 Boost features an all new Boost Mode light setting. Simply double click the power button for the option to operate your light at maximum 950 lumen output. The headlight utilizes a CREE LED for illumination, widely considered to be the best LED available on the market today. These high performance LEDs are extremely reliable, with no filament to break or burn out. With NiteRider's custom engineered optics the Lumina 950 Boost projects a beam pattern that provides a generous long-distance spot and a wide flood beam pattern of 950 brilliant lumens. In addition to the maximum power Boost mode, the headlight features High, Medium, Low, and Walk modes plus a Daylight Flash mode with run times from 1.5 to 18 hours. The high-strength head light body casing is comprised of lightweight aluminum and Dupont fiberglass reinforced nylon that is highly durable and weights just 172 grams.

Making sure you can be seen from behind is important, and the more warning you can give drivers, the better. The NiteRider Solas 100 Tail Light delivers a 100 lumen output via two powerful LEDs that gives drivers plenty of warning that you're there. The Solas 100 features two steady modes and two flash modes including a "group ride mode" that lets you lower the flash brightness so you don't blind your riding companions when you take your pull out front. The tail light is USB rechargeable and weighs in at just 82 grams.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight / Solas 100 Tail Light Combo:

Bought this expensive combo head light/tail light on a 30% off sale. Good reviews and looks like a durable product. Nice and bright. I believe I'm visible whether on a group ride or riding alone. So far, the product gets 5 stars but the directions get 0, thus the three rating. I didn't know how to turn the headlight on. I figured it out after trial and error, multiple visits to the Nite Rider web site and several visits to a private person who rates bike equipment. I never would have known that the number "7" inside a circle means you have to hold down the "On" button for seven seconds to unlock the headlight and turn it on for the first time. To get to the "flash" mode, you must hold down the "On" button for three seconds. I still haven't figured out how and when the little light at the rear of the headlight comes on and what it means. The rubber attachment bands work on a standard handlebar and seatpost. My seatpost is aerodynamic and a little more oval-shaped. It was quite a stretch to get the seatpost mounting band to fit. Who would think turning a light on and off would be an issue? Having said all of that, I'd still recommend the light along with the trip to the Nite Rider web site.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight / Solas 100 Tail Light Combo:

This bike light combo gives off plenty of light making dark, pre-dawn rides safe. The mounts for the lights are made of high quality, durable material... easy to strap on and adjust. If needed, both front and rear light are bright enough for daylight rides on bright settings. The rear light charges to full capacity after about 30 minutes... the front light takes a little over an hour depending on how long the light was used and how much battery is drained. The Lumina 950 light also works great as a flashlight for walking/jogging in the dark or when the power goes out. When riding in the dark... the light spread is adequate even at speeds of 20mph+. I can clearly see potholes and other hazards in time to avoid them. The rear light works great and highly visible to cars passing. Lights also work well in cold weather. Just used them on dark rides of 45 minute duration, 35°F at medium-high settings. I recommend these lights for any cyclist who has to ride in the dark during the fall/winter months.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight / Solas 100 Tail Light Combo:

950 is boost, only lasts 40 min, but lower settings last longer. The strobe pattern is slower from earlier niteriders. The tail light blink pattern is repeating but good enough. I own 5 niterider lights and they all fit on the same attachments.

Comments about NiteRider Lumina 950 Boost Headlight / Solas 100 Tail Light Combo:

This is a very well designed light system and reasonably priced for the quality. I never leave home without them and the day time visible flash mode definitely attracts attention! This company also has very good customer service and offers a two year warranty. I am very happy I chose these lights!
