Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

I've used the Ponza for several years as a bike commuter, on my trainer, commuting, touring, and racing. I started falling in love with the San Marco Era, but when I found the Ponza it was conforming, functional, reliable, and a lovely price at first sight. I have the Ponza fitted on all three of my bikes.
Being over 200#'s might make a difference compared to lighter riders. But it works for me. I might lastly add that a really good bike fitting is imperative for proper saddle height, angle, fore and aft placement.

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

Have one of these on my trainer and another on one of my training road bikes. Have been very impressed for the dollar spent. Padding is not an issue since i always train with 2 pr of biking shorts and could care less about weight on my training bikes. Good product !

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

I bought this based on my Selle San Marcos saddle I have on my road bike. I tried this saddle on my mountain bike and found it to be way way too hard. I am guessing it probably is long-lasting possibly being so firm, but definitely did not have enough padding for my liking. Probably fits some butts, but not mine.

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

Had a 2009 version of this saddle which had stitching on the top. Found the saddle comfortable for me but it started to badly abrade my shorts after several years of riding. The stitching wears down and then become like sandpaper on the shorts. Hope they changed the design.

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

I have the same seat on a bike I use up north, liked it and bought another, turns out my bike here ( same kind as up north, trek, 5200) has a seat post the is a little different shape, so after about 10 miles this seat hits the top of the post and really hurts my sit bone. My bike shop guy recommnede replace the post with a lower profile. I hate spending money when all I want to do is replicate something that was working for me

I commute 22 miles and after just a couple of trips...well did not notice the saddle, so it's fine. Considering the low cost of the product so far so good.

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

Riding to work and running errands, this saddle provides a fine, austere ride. A light sanding with fine emery paper imparted a distinctive patina of use to the saddle; my folding bike now looks quite rakish. I purchased two: the other adorns the fixie. In all aspects it has improved my rides about town.

Comments about Selle San Marco Ponza Saddle:

For the price, this is a quality seat. I have it on my commuting folding road bike (xootr). I have about 100 miles on it, with about 10 miles as the longest ride in the saddle. Saddles are very objective, but for me, this one gets the job done. The first picture makes it look like the center is depressed. This is true, but it's very subtle.

I use it for training on my tour bike and I use it on my winter, beater bike. I am around 14 stones and ride 6x/week. I get in 100 to 150 miles a week and the saddle is perfect. Great buy
