Comments about Lizard Skins Co. Lizard Skins Chainstay Protector:

For years I made chainstay guards from no-skid ladder tape. It worked great, but it was a hassle to cut to fit and it was PERMANENT. Plus, it did little to dampen the clanging of chainslap.

I've used Lizard Skins head seals forever and have a friend who's used the chainstay guard for years, so on his recommendation I got one. Glad I did.

Impossible to screw up installation, hook & loop closures, fits snug & works. Quiets chainslap and prevents chipping & dings in the paint.

      I recommend em.

Comments about Lizard Skins Co. Lizard Skins Chainstay Protector:

Chain slap can beat the tar out of your chainstay. And you don't have to be rocketing down massive rock gardens at super sonic speeds to incur the wrath of an angry chain.

I've always used Lizard Skins Headset seals (and they've saved me many hundreds of dinero over the past two decades). But this is my first chainstay protector.

Upon recommendation of a trusted friend and my unwillingness to make another protector myself out of non-slip stair tape, I indulged in a Lizard Skin one.

It's like putting on old guy sneakers- hook some velcro and you're walking the proverbial mall, yo.

Get one. It'll spare your paint and frame and it's ludicrously simple to install and stupid cheap. I love 'em.

Comments about Lizard Skins Co. Lizard Skins Chainstay Protector:

This thing works and looks really good on my bike. The only downside is that even the large one I bought doesn't go around the chain stay of my carbon fiber bike without really stretching it super-tight. I added black zip ties to keep it secure and in place.

I bought this for my daughters new white frame. Still the best and only way to keep the noise and damage to a minimum from a flopping chain.

Comments about Lizard Skins Co. Lizard Skins Chainstay Protector:

I used the large size for my 62 cm carbon frame and it fit very well. In the future I will cut a hole in it for the shift cable support so I can fit it closer to the small cogs.

Comments about Lizard Skins Co. Lizard Skins Chainstay Protector:

The Jumbo is too small for my bike and my chain stay is not big. Make sure you get the right size. And i wish they offered in different colors rather than just black. OK construction. But velcro does seem to hold quite well.
