Comments about Nashbar Duro Comp Road Tire:

Bought this tire to replace another well-known brand that was wearing rather rapidly. The Nashbar Duro Comp is wearing well, showing little wear after 600 miles. I anticipate getting about 2000 miles at this wear rate. Though other reviews mentioned being hard to mount, I had no problem whatsoever with mounting. I target running around 110 psi, at that pressure the Duro Comp handles better than the tire it replaced and seems to have reasonable rolling resistance. Great value for a training / recreational riding tire.

Good traction tire, holds higher pressure well. A bit more rolling resistance than some other tires. Tire is tighter than most to get on the wheel.

Even with shipping the tires were still less expensive than my usualy brand! They'll go my gf's bike and are a higher pressure rating than the current brand, so it should make her ride a bit easier.

Comments about Nashbar Duro Comp Road Tire:

This is a low-mid weight tire that is quite durable and can hold high pressure. I run mine up to 130. Maybe lowest price tires with this quality. I like the raised slick tread on the center that creates a longer narrower road contact. These are my all around biggest bang for the buck. I'd use them for commuting, fitness riding, training. Get something lighter for racing.

Comments about Nashbar Duro Comp Road Tire:

A good tire. I've put about 1,000 miles on them with no ill effects. it's really hard to explain the cons in just a few bullets, but the biggest problem with the tire is that it's hard to find the "butter zone" for air pressure. I finally setteled with 100-105 PSI, but I really don't think that I found the optimum pressure. For the Money, I think I'll stick with the Prima Plus tire.

I love these tires and they look good on my bike! I use them for my raod bike on streets and trails. Corner nicely and I have a nice ride with them. The wierd thing is the price! They are so reasonable for the price! I really like Nashbar's own brand and buy it over any other brand when I can.

Comments about Nashbar Duro Comp Road Tire:

I needed to replace the tires on my commuter and did not want to spend the $ on high end tires for this use. Though tight going on that is not an issue for me as there are ways to address that. This characteristic is found on many tire brands regardless of price and not a negative in my book, actually more of a positve as there is less of a chance of the tire (esp front) "snaking" off on a downhill flat (B.T.D.T). The cornering, acceleration and decent low rolling resistance was a surprise and made my commuter "feel" like a road bike. BTW, the frame I built on for commuting is a hybrid and more suited for touring. I can see using this brand for road training rides...
