Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers
If your cycling game is commuting or single-day touring, you don't want to turn your bike into "Old Saddlebags." Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

This is the second set that I bought. My son loved it so much that I gave him the set I bought for myself and then ordered another set for me. It is so convenient to put a few tools, ear muffs, gloves, power bars, etc. You can still use the top of the rack for other stuff and with a back pack, you can easily do an overnighter.

Perfect size for doing small jobs. Fits on the bike well without unused bulky space of larger panniers. Fulfills carrying needs and the need for speed. It's my first product from Nashbar. It certainly looks durable enough for many seasons.

I put these on a rack behind by Tadpole Trike, great application. I can carry a bit more than trunk bag but I add my trunk bag to the top of the rack if I desire by cutting slots for the attachment strips. Right size for all my stuff (rain jacket, two sizes tubes, tools, power bars, first aid kit, etc.).

Ordered this for my teenage son's road bike. He said he likes the size, the construction seems to be sturdy . Fit nicely nicely on the Nachbar rack. So far everything I've ordered from Nash bar has been great .

        Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

I purchased a pair of these panniers several years ago and they lasted 5+ years. Replaced them about a year ago and the replacement pair started wearing a hole in the bottom after a few months. I replaced that pair and the new pair is a slightly different design. The bottom buckle hangs down and if not secured in the right way, will get caught in your wheels and rip off and make your wheel lock in the process. Poor design. Seems like if the buckles were flipped it would be safer. I do really like the size and style and havent been able to find something that i like as much so will replace my current pair, which now has a hole in the bottom from the buckle ripping off and give them one last shot. The size can carry most of my everyday things, and ive found that if i cant fit something in these, then i probably have too much stuff. I park my bike a lot in the city and leave these on my bike, so dont want anything that's too expensive incase they get stolen.

        Comments about Nashbar Daytrekker Panniers:

The only problem is that they are hard to get on the bike. The straps are too short. I busted a couple of knuckles putting them on the rack.
But, I was able to put seven 12oz. cans of beer in one side and my lock/pump etc. on the other side. I went tailgating to the Nebraska vs. S. Alabama game with no problems.

This is the perfect size. I ride distance and carry all my needs for the day. It holds plenty of extra water bottles and anything else I may need. It keeps everything secure. It was hard to get the bungee to stretch initially but I am confident that the packs are not gonna go anywhere. It would be nice to have slots so I could attach my trunk too. All in all, its exactly what I was looking for, thanks Nashbar.

The panniers are surprisingly roomy, and fiit easily on the Nashbar rack. However, they are not very water resistant, let alone waterproof. good overall construction and easy to open/close while on the bike.
