    Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

After reading the reviews of this rack,I need to offer my view.I have these on two different bikes and have had them there for over three years, when I mounted them they were not level and some holes did'nt line up in the mid-fork braze-on holes.so I bent the main arm and ta-da!,all is good, mounted the cross brace, loaded bags, and never looked back.good, inexpensive rack.

      Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Was really excited to receive this rack, great price and seems like good quality - it's difficult to find low mount front racks. However, I can't find any way to install it on my bike.

I have a Novara Randonee, with mid-fork bosses for front rack mounting, and the Nashbar rack comes nowhere close to them! I thought, oh well, I'll use the u-bolt mounts instead. But neither of those fit either. Am a bit surprised when there are so many reviews on here about how it fits any bike, and is so versatile. Will have to return it.

      Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Great deal on a low-ride rack. These appear to be made for Nashbar by Blackburn or are an exact copy. Installation can be a bit tricky an may require slight modification depending on braze-on location and fork geometry. Love how low they get those panniers for max gravity advantage. Removing the front wheel can be a bit more challeging with these installed, so don't get a flat! Also will preclude carrying your bike on a fork mount rack set-up as the bottom of the rack extends below the axle.

        Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Excellent for use with Nashbar front rack. Wasn't difficult to install on 700c road fork with all the included hardware. Next one will go on a touring fork with braze-ons. Love to find great value items for building up bikes, and this one is a really bargain when on sale...even not on sale!

        Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

This rack is either an exact copy or a simple rebranding of the Bl****** Lo Rider, which interestingly is no longer available. I only got the first page of the installation instructions, so I Googled the instructions for the Bl******* and it worked fine. I had to drill a couple of holes in the aluminum plate that is welded to the top bar of the rack in order to get my Lone Peak panniers to fit right, but after I did that they were solid. Took my first ride today, a quick downhill on a local paved bike path, with a light load in the panniers, and they handled well. The steering feels different, there is more inertia in the system, but it felt solid and stable.

          Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Sure you can find heavier built racks but for what I wanted this is great and the price can't be beat. Don't know why some people say that it is hard to in stall because it was simple for me. What I was looking for was a light weight front rack that would give some more room for clothing for me and my wife when touring on our tandem. This fits the need perfectly. I would not recommend it for heavy loads.

          Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

The hardware isn't the best quality but the rack is surprisingly very good quality. I used stainless hardware and better quality p clips, though rack doesn't have the best mounting options for forks that have rack brazeons as it seems it was designed to only use the u bolts but it still works with brazeons.

                Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

Not quite ready to spurge on a touring bike, I'm adapting my Bianchi. This rack is nice in that it does not require my bike to have rack brazons on the fork. It is heavy and I doubt it will stay on tight enough for carrying much weight, over a longer distance. Still, if it does, I will be pleased, especially considering the price!

                Comments about Nashbar Front Rack:

I have been looking for a front rack for awhile, but was reluctant to pay a bunch. Nashbar saved the day again! A little difficult to set up because the pieces are awkward to hold. A third hand or helper would be great. Seems flimsy until you get it all tied together, then its rock solid. Rack sits low and panniers clear tires with no problems. Rack has tabs to keep panniers in place. Great rack and great price!
