Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I right 12.5 mile each way to and from work. I can ride 2 to 3 days without re-inflating, durable enough to ride through some rough parts i.e. gravel from construction, and flat enough for speed. I average about 19 mph on my cheap nashbar road bike.

It came with 23mm and I want getting pinch flats on the way home. Let out too much air sitting for 8 hours while working. These tires stay at 85 psi for a couple of days, and won't pinch flat either.

I am now just shy of 200 miles, and no signs of problems.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

Wow! Impressed by this tire. I've had Vittoria, Continental, Hutchison and other brands and for the price this tire is great. Was actually lighter than I anticipated and has solid construction. Has a nice smooth roll to it and is pretty grippy. It seems to me after years of buying all sorts of tires there really isn't that big a difference between the average road tires. Yes, you might be able to get a much lighter tire for more money but it will wear quicker too. For the average biker who doesn't obsess over grams and wants a good solid tire that will last as long as any other this does a nice job.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I have used the Prima Plus 2s exclusively for several years and have been very pleased with them. They are durable and the kevlar belt is effective at preventing punctures. I've written reviews in the past but decided to update since I just replaced my rear 700 X 25 Prima Plus 2 after 6961 miles. (It had only two VERY minor blemeshes. The previous Plus 2 on the rear was replaced at 5443 miles. The front Plus 2 is still without blemish at 12,091 miles.

I ride only paved roads--a lot on the Blue Ridge Parkway--and most of the roads I ride have good quality pavement with limited trash. Still, the above mileage obviously demonstrates excellent durability. I weigh 180 pounds.

I can't evaluate their race performance but they are an excellent durable tire for the recreational riding I do that involves lots of climbing and long 25 to 35 mph mountain decents.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

Fourth set for me. Average 2300 miles per set. ONE flat in just under 10,000 miles total for these sets. Smoother ride, lower rolling resistance than previous brand name tires. I ride 25-40 miles per day because I'm addicted to bicycles. Help! There is no reason (except racing for $$) to ride any more expensive tire.

First set of tires had issues and one tire came off rim while riding. They were replaced for free by Nashbar. The replacement tires are much better and have had no issues with them.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

Good tire for the price. Very inexpensive and durable for the price. I've put about 1200 miles on my set and am just now feeling the signs of them wearing out. I did decide to replace them on the next level up tire from Nashbar only because they aren't that much more expensive(another plus from Nashbar). We'll see how those are in a couple hundred miles.

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I use these puppies for commuting, recreation and general purpose riding. It is most important to me to have a reliable tire. I ride through lots of road debris on back rd and main streets. A flat could cause tardiness a work. Thus, I choose this kevlar type tire for it's flat protection. Purchased recently, so, I only have about fifty miles under my belt. I switched from a no longer made set of well worn Panaracer GrandTour kevlar tires. So far, they roll well(fast), have adequete traction, high pressure and NO flats. Some comfort is sacrificed for speed and kevlar based high pressure construction. But, a supple ride is worth it when you have the need for speed. The only down side at this moment is, no 700x28 for my other bike(hybrid).

Comments about Nashbar Prima 2 Plus Road Tire:

I always buy Prima 2+ tires. At these prices they are hands down the best value. I can always count on at least 1500 miles on them so I go through 2-3 sets a year. At this price, that's a great value rather than spending 30-50 a tire on more expensive brands. They grip the road very well, and I've never had a problem or defect with them. I would buy in bulk if there was a discount...
