    Windstopping Does Not Disapoint

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

I purchased this products for the colder/wetter months in the north-eastern US mainly to protect my ears from the wind. To this end, the cap has performed very well. Gore's Windstopper tech never disappoints, and the thinness of the fabric allows for the cap to fit under my helmet seamlessly.
When I first put the cap on, I was a tad worried it would a bit too large. I have a 22.5" head measure, and purchased the Medium size having found on Gore's website that the Medium range was from 21.25"-22.8". I'm not sure that I would recommend this product to anyone with a smaller head than my own, but I'm also used to the tight grip of a swim cap, so take that with a grain of salt.

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

As others have reported this helmet cap can produce a little wind noise - not the worst I've had, but a bit louder than similar items I have that are all fleece rather than a smooth shell. Seems to be reasonably warm and wind resistant and fits my big head (large size helmet) well.

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

Once the weather drops below 50 this garment is perfect. It replaced a similar cap that didn't cover my ears well and seemed to "whistle" as the air pasted through my helmet. May buy 1 more so I have 2 in the rotation ( one will always be clean)!

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

Gore's wind stopper fabric is great. I have used this cap under my helmet in 35-40 degree weather, dry conditions. It really stops the wind from getting through. It does not provide much thermal protection and is not meant to from my understanding. It does very well it keeping you warm due to its wind stopping qualities.

size-L (just barely) works for 46cm head

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

This is my headgear for commuting (25 min, 4.5 miles) with weather ranging from 50F down to 32F. It's also occasionally my method of avoiding the tell-tale multi-ridge helmet hair that comes with bicycle commuting in any weather when my usually short buzz cut grows out a bit too much.

It's great to finally find a wind-proof cap that keeps ears warm and still fits large/big head sizes. I think I'm at the upper limits of the size-L, but it is very workable for my 46cm head.

                  Great product

Comments about GORE BIKE WEAR Windstopper Helmet Cap:

I'm a bald man who has been wearing hats/covers/caps for years while cycling. Most have at least one negative to them. They're either far too tight, leave marks on my scalp (from the stitching in the cap) that last for hours, don't breath, aren't warm enough, are too warm, etc.

In only a couple commutes so far this has proven to be the best I've come across. As an example, it was all I had protecting me from the elements in a ~38F ride home with light rain. My face was pretty cold, but this kept my head overall perfectly comfortable. It's not water proof at all, but I was fine.

It's very thin so it fits easily under a helmet.

I typically wear medium sized helmets, and ordered a medium for this cap. It fits well, but perhaps ever so slightly loose around the bottom (perhaps having no hair has something to do with it).
