Good sandals for bking - not back for walking.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

Got these because I was riding in regular sandals that were too wide for my pedals for commuting and errands and so-on. Like them a lot - very good on the bike and for walking when not biking. The soles are quite stiff and heavy as you might expect, but that is not an issue. Quite comfortable. Not very stylish looking but no worse than most bike footwear.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

I bought the Shimano sandals to replace a pair of worn-out Nashbar sandals that served me well for over 10 years. I almost bought the Nashbar sandals again which are slightly lower priced. The Shimano sandals are stiffer than the Nashbar ones, but it isn't a fair comparison because the Nashbar sandals are so old and I don't intend to do much walking in the new ones. They are comfortable and sturdy to ride in.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

This is my second pair. I wanted to take advantage of the sale on these. My first pair are still going strong after 3 years and several thousand miles. I think Shimano may be changing the style so I wanted to get another pair while they were still available. I'm a big guy with a 13 shoe on the wider size. The 47-48 fit me great because they are adjustable. I've bike centuries in these with no issue at all.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

Nice looking sandal, but a little too narrow for me. I normally wear 11.5 wide USA size. Settled on another brand. Had to return these.

Use sandals all year round since we winter in Florida. They are the best and glad Shimano went back to the two strap.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

These replaced worn out Lake sandals that are no longer made. Too soon to tell if they will last the 9 years and 21,000 miles that the Lakes did.
They are lighter but too soon to tell for durability and comfort, so far with a couple hundred miles in them, very comfortable. Riding a 2014 Catrike Expedition so installed new Shimano SH56 multi release SPD cleats.

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

I have used Shimano sandals for 12 years. I lost my original two strap version and replaced them with the then current triple strap a few years ago. I have mourned the loss of that original two strap style ever since. On a recent bike tour, a woman rider was spotted wearing a "like new" set of the now obsolete original two strap. Many of us wanted those sandals, which she had purchased years ago and held in reserve when she learned they would be discontinued. Wish I had been so wise!!!

Comments about Shimano SD66 Cycling Sandals:

I use these sandles on every ride. If the weather is cool, I just wear socks. I do get a hot spot sometimes where the "bumps" are near the front. Inserting a cushion helps. I may grind the bumps off.
