Comments about Nashbar Thermal Skull Cap:

The picture on the Nashbar web site seems to show a cap with a visor. This is not the case. Instead it has two ear flaps. This cap might be good for short commuter or errand trips, but a wool cap performs much better on long, cold and/or wet rides.

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Skull Cap:

Works really great down to 35F. Bought a spare for when I don't do laundry. Got one 3-4 yrs ago from Nashbar (for a dollar less), and have thrashed it, but even though it's lost stretch around the bottom, it still works. Quick drying, too.

Used product on windy, cold days, when temps were below 40 degrees. Did the job keeping my head warm. A little loose at ears, but kept me comfortable.

Comments about Nashbar Thermal Skull Cap:

I was out on a ride in mid 40 degree temps and the last 5 miles was rainy. I credit this skull cap with keeping my head warm and dry. 50% of the heat in our bodies escapes through our heads, one of the best ways to stay warm, is proper head wear. For me, this fits the bill and easily slides under the helmet, keeping head and ears nice and warm.

I am riding in 45 degree weather and this kept my head and ears warm. It isn't too hot and is breathable. It also cut down on the wind noise in my ears and helped me to hear better.

Perfect for chilly, windy rides. Fits nicely under helmet and keeps the wind and cold from ears. Very lightweight but nice and toasty -without being too toasty. So glad I bought this!

fits well under the helmet. Comfortable and nice for some of the mild cold days in Wisconsin winters. When it gets below 20 deg, I combine it with one of the ear bands to protect my ears. When it get below 5 degrees, i combine it with one of the balaclavas.
