Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

Pretty bad design all around. The "rails" on the top shift around and the "rip-cord" that holds it to your seatpost has almost no elastic and works itself loose. Forget about it if you mountain bike. even group rides with this thing are a bit of a liability. messin around on your beater from A to B on flat roads is about the only thing this is practical for. cheap price and cheap stuff.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

I've been cycling for over 30 years and have owned many seat wedges and this one is the worst yet. The concept of the adjustable strap system sounded good, too bad it won't stay where you put it. Very frustrating.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

But isn't that Garneau's designers' job? I could lash it to the seat with paracord and twine, too. If so, they should have been included.

I bought this to use on two bikes, so I tried it five different ways in a one-week period; it never held snugly for a fifty-mile ride over mostly smooth asphalt rail trail. Today it came loose four times. Five, if you count when I took it off and threw it in the junk box.

Too much strap, not enough velcro. The tail light clip looked like it had about a week's worth of life left. The thing isn't even merchantable.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

The bag is okay (not great) if you don't expand it. When you expand it the velcro straps that go over the seat rails are too short and come undone when trail riding. May be okay on the road if the road isn't too bumpy. The bungy that goes around the seat post seams flimsy and I doubt it will last long.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

This is the second one that I have had in the last year. The positives are the size of the bag. When expanded, it will hold, 2xtubes, a multi-tool, inflator w/extra CO2, tire lever with room for some gel and cell phone. All of this in a relatively aero package. The cons: The attachment is bizarre, and the reason why this is the second one is that the first one, fell onto the tire and one of the straps got wore off before I could stop(I was on a fast descent). It could have been much worse if the strap had wrapped in the wheel. Also the zipper gripper is cheap and will fall off after a dozen uses. All that said I purchased a replacement and make sure before every ride and during any stops it is secure. Great for long rides.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

I have a road bike and a mtb and had no problems with the bag coming loose and it does hold alot when it's zipped up. I bought one of these back in September and had no problem with the zipper that so many others have had. I even wrote a review about how well it was working and actually bought a 2nd one. Well, I have to change my review because the new one that I just bought lasted about a week on my 2nd bike before the PLASTIC zipper broke. Plastic zipper ... really??? How cheap is that??? The bag was empty and, based on the other reviews I read about the zipper being cheap, I was very very careful. It lasted about 8 zips. Not only that, but the zipper on the other bag broke as well so now I have 2 really nice looking bags that are totally worthless. What's that saying ... fool me once, shame on you ... fool me twice, shame on me. Spend a couple dollars more and get a decent wedge, not this piece of junk. I'm really surprised that Nashbar offers it.

I have already thrown it away. Zipper tried to be waterproof but the poor quality of the plastic just cloged it. the extra tab on the zipper handle broke off and the teeth wouldnt hold together and the pack was empty.

Comments about Louis Garneau Pro 60 Seat Wedge:

Not real sure what the problem is in attaching this wedge. It has no instructions but logic must prevail. If you hold the bag with the 2 straps on the top, you can position the wedge a few inches from the bottom of the seat. Most seats have 2 support rails on the bottom side so you can weave the straps between the rails towards the outside of the seat, one strap to the right and one to the left. Take the strap that is considerably longer and drop it down one side and across the bottom of the bag and up the other side so it can be attached to the shorter strap that has the "buckle", Feed the longer strap through the buckle and pull it back down so the bag is secure and then lay it over the velcro. There is plenty of velcro to make it secure and I have my bag stuffed. The band of elastic is kind of rinkydink but that could be remedied with a big rubberband or something. Sor the price, I'll buy a second one.
