Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

I got these shoes for my husband for his first set of clipless pedal/shoes. We had been having a hard time finding him a shoe that would work because he has really wide feet. He really likes these - says that they are very comfortable, work well, fit perfectly. Great, inexpensive, quality first bike shoe.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

Love these gloves. At 51, I look for value and performance. My days of the latest and greatest are long gone. The gloves are well made, in fact I would say they are equal quality with my pearls. the padding is thick, thicker than most of today's gloves. It is also sewn in place, so there is little movement of the gel. I like the placement of the pads...personal preference.

I used the size chart and they are a little loose. Not loose enough to send back, but looser than I normally like.

I will be getting another pair.

I ride anywhere between 20 to 100 miles out at least 4 times a week. These gloves are very comfortable and have a good gel pads in the right areas. I will be buying another pair of these.

                Strategic Gel Padding

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

"Strategic gel padding" means "not enough gel padding". The gel padding is in spots on the glove, but not on entire palm. As others stated, they also need a velcro closure. I much prefer the $8 crochet back gloves. I'll keep these for backup.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

Bought these for road biking in humid South Florida. Lightweight and cool these gloves allowed me to grip my bars. Last only a few rides and a couple of hundred miles before they started to separate at the seams. More than a little disappointing.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

These are good average gloves that I use in rotation with a couple of other pairs. They haven't gone through the wash yet so I can't comment on how they will do in that regard. They are comfortable and a bit on the heavy side but I like the padding and the fit.

Comments about Nashbar Gel Max Gloves:

The gel on these gloves seems great (though I have little experience wearing them so far). It is well placed and very firm. If it doesn't break down too quickly, I'll be very happy with it.

The downside is that I find the gloves difficult to get on and (especially) off. They really need a velcro closure on the back, as every other pair of bike gloves I have owned (and that's a lot) has had.

Aside from this flaw, I would recommend these gloves, given their price, but be prepared to spend extra time getting them on and off.

I was skeptical when I ordered these gloves, but that skepticism quickly went away. I have worn several different brands and so far these are the best. Very comfortable and no tingy hands.
