Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

I've bought these a number of times. They are light, tough, hold air well, and I like the smooth stem. I'd like them to have a removable core so I could use them with stem extenders on my racing wheels. That's my only complaint.

Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

I bought these for my wife's bike. She is an avid cyclist. Her rims are a little deeper than my training wheels so I needed slightly longer stems.

Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

I bought three for a long distance ride of about 500 miles on Route 66 mostly in Oklahoma. Trek 520 touring bike. The first two failed within minutes of airing up. I was afraid to try the third one. Upon removal, there were bubbles all long the tube. The second one I definitely under inflated with same result.

Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

Great tubes for the money. Michelin's quality is better than most of the cheaper tubes. It's a bit harder to press pump head down onto threadless valve stem, but you get used to it.

I received four tubes, three out of the four tubes had tiny pin holes in them. The air leaks were very small, I failed to notice the leak at first.

The smooth valve stem makes these MUCH easier to use with pumps with a Silca-type chuck, which doesn't have a lock/unlock feature.

Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

I like the 52mm smooth valve because it protrudes from my alloy rims enough to make attaching my air pump head easy, and it causes less wear on the pump head rubber gasket than threaded valve stems do. I have tried 48mm and 60mm stems; the 52mm is just right for me. The Airstop tubes are very durable. In Florida I ride on clean roads and have very few flats. When I visit family in upstate NY I ride on roads with glass, stone shards, and wire from radial tire blowouts. In NY, using tire liners, I have had no flats with the Airstops. Without the tire liners I believe no tube would survive.

I've been using these tubes for about a year now and like them very well. They seem to hold air better than other tubes I've used, so I find myself not having to air them up as often. Can't ask for much more out of a tube!

Comments about Michelin A1 Airstop Presta Road Tube:

I bought two new tires and two of these tubes. One tube leaked right away. On both sides of the stem, the tube ballooned into two big bulges with no air pressure. There was a pinhole in one bulge. I patched it, but it only lasted one day. I gave up and replaced it. The other one is working.
