Nashbar Parabolic Rollers

Have you ever been envious of a rider's silky smooth cadence? We'd wager big bucks it came from riding rollers. And with the Nashbar Parabolic Rollers you'll have the perfect means to sharpen fitness, improve bike handling skills, as well as eliminate any roughness from your pedal stroke. As an added bonus, especially for those totally new to roller riding, the parabolic-shaped drums with ramped edges are the ideal introduction as their design makes it quite easy to stay in the center of the rollers while riding. Sealed bearings ensure super smooth operation while still being quiet enough to enjoy your favorite tunes or videos without cranking the volume. But don't think of using rollers just for indoor training, take them to a race and find out how awesome they are for getting warmed up!

Riding rollers is a perfect way to keep your mind occupied and engaged throughout a workout - balance and riding in a straight line are key - while the fitness and buttery pedal stroke will pay dividends when you hit the roads or trails outdoors.

  • Parabolic shape of the roller drums makes it easier to stay in the center of the rollers
  • Sealed bearings guarantee a smooth, efficient pedaling action that more closely simulates riding on the road than other rollers do
  • Lightweight design folds up easily for storage and transport
  • Fits wheelbases from 37" to 43"

    Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

Feels like riding instead of just moving the rear wheel. For me, the element of having to balance and concentrate provides a much better workout. I have ridden bicycles since a child and learning to ride on these rollers was different, and so much fun! I am glad I chose the parabolic trainer. I feel the shape of the rollers helps when learning to use this trainer. Great product! Great price. Thanks Nashbar.

      Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

Product arrived with front roller broken from shipping but was quickly sent replacement roller without hassle. After remembering to look ahead of me, I was able to ride and get decent exercise the first try. Resistance is decent with shifting gears, but it gets loud once you get going...could be my gravel bike tires have a bit much tread, but I don't notice it on the road. Way more fun than stationary and a good workout. I have improved a lot over a couple weeks. The edges have kept me on when I get lazy, but I have still gone over the side a few times.

      get these rollers

      Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

These are great inexpensive rollers. I hate stationary exercise bikes and spin bikes, so I gave this a try so I could keep fit in the winter months. At first I was going to get the cheaper model without the parabolic edges, but I'm glad I got this one. They do help.

Couple of tips to newbies. Set it up in a doorway at first until you're comfortable with it. Keep a moderate to high cadence and focus your eyes several yards ahead of you. Also, keep the air pressure in your tires high.

        Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

Good value for the money. Easy to install, sturdy, stable, works well. One gripe is the exposed bolts to the side, which already scratched my front wheel the first time I went off. A design flaw that could've been easily prevented with protective covers. Or double-wrapped tape in my case...

I opened the box and was riding on these well constructed rollers in minutes. Takes a little practice, but I was quickly able to ride for long periods of time while watching TV without need for furniture nearby.

The purchase of these rollers does feel like it expedited my purchase horizon for a smart trainer; I'll look for resistance and a more intense ride from a trainer.

              Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

I had been eyeing a set of rollers and finally pulled the trigger last time they had free shipping.

Glad I did! I'm brand new to rollers but they do promise to be a great workout! Pretty quiet compared to the mag trainer I had before as well. I ran normal road tires.

Tips for newbies that worked for me:
              - Mid-range gear
              - High cadence
              - Look ahead at a wall or TV

Once I was able to keep myself from looking down they were relatively easy to ride! Side guides are a life saver - along with a pole to hang onto.

Only thing I wish they did better was stand up on their own when folded. If they stretched the frame on the front wheel end to match the length (when folded) to the end of the rear roller it would be perfect! Then you could fold it up, roll it on the back roller wherever - tip it up and done! Silly complaint - goes to show how good it is otherwise.

              Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

Easy setup out of the box. Up and running in 10 minutes. Steep initial learning curve but was rolling steadily after 20 min of immersion training. The conical rollers are very helpful in keeping you on board. It is noisier than I expected. Not deafening but it dominates the room.

              Comments about Nashbar Parabolic Rollers:

These are great. Increase your resistance by just up shifting. It forces you to learn to be smooth and keep your upper body quiet. The parabolic edges help keep you on the drums, but if you are sloppy you will still have trouble. I put it next to a work table to help me get started. Great bang for the buck. I use some spin videos from YouTube to help me do interval workouts indoors until it warms up a little more.
