      Comments about Michelin City Tire:

I used the tire on my mountain bike, which I use more of a cruizer on paved paths and city streets, usually 20-40 mile rides.

In my first 10 miles of using these tires, I hit what looks like a nail head (half circle pucture) into the tire barely punctured the tube. The headline was very misleading!

        Comments about Michelin City Tire:

I ride in an urban setting on mostly paved trails and street lanes. I love this tire seems to wear well as I have put on about 800 miles so far this summer. I like the grip around corners. I look forward to another 1000 miles on the tire.

          Comments about Michelin City Tire:

Bought this tire based on the the specs and the recommendation from a friend. Tire worked well for about 800 miles. Good wet traction, great dry traction and an easy rolling tire. I thought I had found my perfect 26" touring tire. The tread is aggressive enough to allow for traction on fire trails and non technical off-road riding. Everything seemed great, and then the problem came.

It was very hard to mount this tire onto either of the two rim sets I have. I was careful to not damage the bead during the mounting. With a lot of work, I was able to change a flat on the side of the road. This presented itself as a bit of a problem.

At 800 miles, the sidewall let go. The bead separated and the tube let go. Luckily, it happened close to the end of my ride and the walk was short. Research turned up several similar accounts. I cannot recommend this tire.

          Comments about Michelin City Tire:

I have this mounted as a rear tire on a 1980's era Specialized Streetstomper that I ride on paved trails and roads. I average about 50 miles a week. So far I have nearly 1,000 miles on the tire and it shows little wear. It handles well in dry, paved conditions and I've only had one flat (industrial staple near construction site). I appreciate the reflective sidewalls in the fall and winter.
In wet conditions, however, it can be a bit slick, especially compared to the previous design for this tire.
