    Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

(Gary Fisher Kaitai) Replaced the stock pedals with a pair of the SoHo pedals. I'm a bit of a novice with clip less pedals and like having an option to clip in or just pedal normally. I also purchased a pair of Shimano casual shoes and since these pedals came with cleats, I did not have to buy any. The pedals installed quickly and so far I am loving clipping in.

      Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

These are a well-made and versatile pedal. The bearings spin smoothly, and they are easy to clip in and out of. The platforms are on the small side for all-day comfort, but I assume that one would wear cleats for an all-day ride. They are perfectly fine for zipping out to get a coffee in your work shoes. Perhaps the nicest thing about them is the comprehensive mounting kit. They come with cleats and the plates, nuts and screws to outfit a pair of riding shoes. In my case, my shoes were already fitted, but my son received a pair of new shoes that were "naked" that afternoon. Nashbar's thoughtful kit had him up and running in 20 minutes. It is this sort of attention to detail that keeps me coming back as a customer.

          Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I think these pedals are great. I have little problem clipping into them and I love the fact that I can use them without my bike shoes. They are very nicely made, lightweight and they work very well. The bearings are a bit tight and they don't just "fall into place", but it doesn't seem to make a difference to me, I imagine they will loosen up in the near future.

All around good pedals. I had a pair for about 2 years and recently bought a pair to put on my wifes bike. They work great on the trail and are perfect for leisure town rides without clipping in

though the no clip platform is a bit smaller than I would like, it is a good multi functional pedal that I would but again.

              Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I dusted off an old mountain bike converted to a single speed for a commuter bike. My commute is about 4 miles over bumpy rolling flat streets in San Francisco with a lot of stop and go. I wanted to use SPD when I commute and have the option to wear sneakers to run errands on the bike. The price point was right and the pedals are working great, easy SPD click in and out, I will say that I had to tighten the tension on the pedals a little bit.

                Comments about Nashbar Soho Pedals:

I got a set of these for my commuter/errand/all-rounder road bike, so I could clip in for most rides but ride a few blocks in my work shoes for lunch. I used them for a couple of months and then got a set for my girlfriend when she graduated from toeclips to clipless. I figured the platform side would let her pedal a little way if she was having trouble clipping in. It's all worked per plan - they're great! Nice wide platform to distribute pressure if you're wearing sneakers, not too hard to clip into when not. Work well with the recessed cleats on my MTB-style shoes. Lighter than my double-SPD pedals. Can't speak to durability after only a few months; I wonder about the material but none of the other reviews mention any problems. And the price is great!

I was looking for a set of pedals that would allow me to clip in when I wanted and to use normal sneakers for when I go around the block with my family and cannot be happier. I have only had them for about 2 weeks and have put in about 60 miles on them and I really like them so far. We'll have to see about durability seeing as they are made out of plastic, but at least they seem sturdy. Only time will tell.

I use these pedals on all 3 of my bikes, road, mountain and hybrid. The first pair I bought are more than 5 years old and have more miles on them than I can remember. The convenience is well worth the little added weight. I do switch pedals on my road bike to a lighter pair when I want to lighten up. Easy to switch.
