Shimano Dura-Ace SM-BB9000 Bottom Bracket
Ok, Mr. Fancy Pants. We're all very impressed that you got yourself a set of those new Dura-Ace 9000 cranks (if we sound bitter and jealous, it's because we are). But, you're going to need the new BB9000 to make them work. Lucky for you, we've got just what you need right here. The new SM-9000 bottom bracket is a durable, maintenance-free threaded bottom bracket with 50% less rotating friction than the 7900 series.
  • New seals reduce drag and friction by 50% over previous models
  • Top quality, Japanese machined stainless bearings for a long-wearing road life
  • Weighs only 68 grams
  • Designed for 24mm spindle

Comments about Shimano Dura-Ace SM-BB9000 Bottom Bracket:

Installed on a 2006 Madone SSL carbon frame. Like the smaller bearings. Installation was a breeze. Glad they included the adapter for installing the outer bearings. Can not speak to longevity at this point as I only have 100 miles on it and it has now snowed. Make sure to use an anti-seize grease on the threads of the outer bearings, makes it easier to remove if you don't replace them for a few years.

Not much to say. Works good, lasts a long time. Doesn't get any better than Dura Ace.

Comments about Shimano Dura-Ace SM-BB9000 Bottom Bracket:

This is the lightest and smoothest feeling bottom bracket that I have seen. I hope that the longevity is equal to the dura ace name.

Comments about Shimano Dura-Ace SM-BB9000 Bottom Bracket:

I needed a replacement for my 7900 bottom bracket bearings. This works perfectly and is a direct replacement. Very easy to install. Shimano even includes the tool to allow installation with my existing tools for the 7900 bottom bracket bearings. I would buy this again. Highly recommended, very smooth spinning.
