Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

I bought this bike because I wanted get into riding but with one income and a fourth coils on the way I had a very tight budget. I decided to give this bike a shot. I can't believe how nice this bike is! The components are amazing especially when you consider the price. If these were on a name brand bike you would pay close to double. I'm 6'4" 285 so I didn't know how comfortable the bike would be but again I was pleasantly surprised. I feel very balanced and supported and the bike handles very well. The only thing that could be improved is the seat and peddles. I switched them out right away and was up and going about an hour after it showed up at my door.

Overall this is a great bike for the money and I will definitely buy another nashbar bike in the future.

I got this bike to ride around town and on casual rides with friends. It is a great bike for the price. I did replace the seat, but the one it came with was okay. It was easy to put together.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

I use the bike to ride to and from school and work each day. Riding my mountain bike was getting to be too much work for the distance and amount of uphill riding. This bike is great because it combines the speed and low friction of a road bike with a more comfortable riding position. It's heavy for a road bike, but overall it works great and I'm happy with it. I was looking at similarly-equipped bikes from top name brands, but this one was much cheaper.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

I bought this bike for a trip because it was cheaper than shipping my bike on the plane. The bike arrived in good shape just a small ding in the paint on the headtube and some scratches on the front wheel but nothing important. Assembly was easy. It had a blown tube on the rear wheel so I had to replace that before I could ride. All the gears shifted fine and the brakes work OK after a little adjustment. I brought my seat and pedals plus some other accessories to make it more comfortable and so far have about 300mi on this bike. It feels nice and stiff and climbs well and handles good at 30mph downhill. I rode this bike from Santa Barbara to LA last week with no problems. Great bike for the money.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

Bought this to have something to ride on the roads instead of my Specialized MTB. Very pleased with the bike as it compares to some of the $450-$550 bikes i was looking at. My wife liked it soo much she took it from me and i ordered another one for myself. Had others ride it and they have already ordered one. Only wished the seat had some tilt adjustment but that's the only thing i can find i would change.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

The bike is great, love the no decal look and it rides nicely. Will probably switch to 32mm tires and install my racks to make it a great commuter bike. Not a fault of the bike but the fork came a bit scratched and it has taken forever to get a replacement out to me.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

The bicycle has good components, example, wheels, chain, derailleurs, brakes and handle grips. The derailleurs are adjusted correctly from the factory. An assembly manual or illustration sheet should be included. The handle bar is backwards and must be rotated 180 degrees around the head set so that the hand grips are correct. The head set is tightened with the hex screw in the center so there is no play. The saddle is fairly comfortable for a stock item. The bicycle has an aluminum frame and front fork, however the bicycle is 25 lbs. without water bottle cages, pump, computer, or flashing (front and back) safety lights. There are screws and fittings for the water bottle cages (2 each) and if one wants, a rear fender and rear rack to carry items. The brakes work well and the bicycle is quiet. The 21 inch frame fits well in both the arm length (my arms being slightly bent) and the leg position (my leg being slightly bent) at the bottom of the stroke. I am 5 feet 10 inches in height. I would recommend the bicycle even if one is an avid cyclist, but not for racing or training.

Comments about Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike:

I bought the 17" frame for my wife who is 5'3" and it fits well (a larger rider would be able to use it also). The bike weighed in at 25.5 lbs assembled which was a huge plus over her old entry level Giant MTB tank. I'm not a bike guru, but assembly was easy. The handlebars were attached backwards, but this is an easy fix. All things considered, this was a great value to get her into a bike that can move a bit w/o spending $600+ for an entry level bike at the LBS.
