Nashbar Torque Wrench
Gone are the days of tightening bolts simply by feel and rough guess-timation. The modern day bicycle, particularly if you've got plenty of carbon fiber through and through, demands precision to remain in tip-top shape and that's where the Nashbar Torque Wrench plays such an important role. Take all the guess work out of tightening bolts to manufacturer's spec. The Nashbar Torque Wrench lets you pre-set the amount of necessary torque, and then lets you know when you've reached the limit by allowing the handle to hinge. It's fast, easy to use, and provides much-needed peace of mind knowing your bike is expertly maintained.
  • Includes 1/4-inch drive 3/4/5/6/8/10mm hex bits and T25 & T30 Torx bits
  • Chrome vanadium steel construction for strength and long-lasting durability
  • Attach or remove bits by simply pressing the button on the back of the wrench head
  • Wrench handle turns clockwise to increase torque or counterclockwise to decrease torque
  • Torque values are shown in Newton Meters (Nm) on the wrench scale (1-24 Nm range)

When it arrived it looked like a great deal with bits included. First time trying to use it never clicked/broke away. Set the nm all the way to the bottom (least resistance)..still will not break away/click.

            Comments about Nashbar Torque Wrench:

Purchased the torque wrench two weeks ago. When it arrived it looked like a great deal with bits included. First time trying to use I set it to 6nm to adjust bolts on a carbon stem. Seemed to get tighter and tighter - never clicked/broke away anything. I stopped using it. Set the nm all the way to the bottom (least resistance)..still not working. Luckily I didn't break the carbon piece. I tried the wrench on an additional piece of equipment (this time steel with no fear of having anything break). Wrench was set at the least level of resistance...still will not break away/click. Contacting Nashbar customer service.

                Comments about Nashbar Torque Wrench:

I own two torque wrenches and was looking for a smaller one. I've being using torque wrenches for 20 years. The first one I received did not work at all no matter how low I set the torque setting. Replacement did the same exact thing. Sorry to say it, but stay far, far, far away from this particular item.

The best combo I found on the web. Multiple uses and I was able to build up my bike almost completely with this tool kit. The only thing I couldn't use it for was the bottom bracket and cranks.

If you are working on a carbon bike you won't find a torque wrench that works at 2nm at the auto parts store. This wrench works very well and appears well made.

Received on time and took to work, checked it against 2 certified dial torque wrenches, it was spot on. The case and bit are of descent quality and should provide good service. For the money spent, I'm very happy with my purchase.
This tool is a must for anyone with carbon bikes or parts.

This is a great tool for the price. Has a nice storage case to keep everything together on my work bench. I've bought a couple torque wrenches at auto parts stores but they don't work well for the small screws on bicycles.
