Really happy with these, also, please note they come with cleats! I bought a set thinking that they did not come with cleats, but now I just have a backup. Looking forward to many miles!

Comments about Nashbar Angliru Road Pedals:

The pedals do what I want them to do, and at a great price. In case it matters, be aware that they don't have flats for a pedal wrench. Allen wrench on the spindle (from the back side of the crank arm) is the only option for installation/removal.

Instructions said that the mechanisms are set to minimum safe tension and that they should not be loosened further. I had trouble unclipping, though, even after adjusting shoe cleats for optimum angle to facilitate release. So I loosened the pedal tension a bit. I have not been able to pull the cleats up out of the pedals--though I have not tried pulling as hard as I possibly can on a very steep grade (e.g., the 18% or so on Howard's Gap near Saluda, NC). My usual rides do include grades in the 15% range, and I've had no problem with my normal pedaling on those grades, which I generally take at around 5 or 6 mph. Someone who rides harder than that might do better to stick to the instructions about the tension. And if you do loosen them like I did, test carefully before really committing yourself to a huge power surge.

          "These are LOOK Delta compatible.
I'm probably the only one, around these parts that uses these. Seems like everyone likes speedplay or LOOK KEO,shimano spds. They look really spiffy with the SIDI shoes. I'm more ol' school. Value and comfort minded, are more my style. The money I saved on shoes and peddles from Nashbar thru out the years I finally put together another custom bicycle.

Comments about Nashbar Angliru Road Pedals:

As a new cyclist, I sought the recommendation of a friend who rides 5000 miles a year—mostly road with some cross & MTB. He recommended these as his go to even on his high end bikes. "You can spend a lot more," he said, "but these work great for the money." He was right.

I've been most happy using them as I've learned to clip in & out easily. Note: I did adjust the tension to make it easier at the beginning.

This is the second pair I have owned. The old ones were good but these are better. I have had no complaints. The low price allowed me to justify spending $179 on shoes.

Comments about Nashbar Angliru Road Pedals:

I use this pedal daily for 20-30 mile early morning speed runs. It provides excellent power transfer, good ergo feel and reduced spot pressure on the ball of my feet. The adjustability issue is that, for some reason, the left pedal doesn't release as smoothly as the right. A little less easy to re-enter at stop lights unless you look at it, however this is not a star killer. For a good looking pedal that also performs very well, this can't be beat (did I mention cost efficient?).

Comments about Nashbar Angliru Road Pedals:

Bought these as a cheap option to use on my bike that is set up on indoor trainer. This way i do not need to transfer my pedals from my commuter bike to trainer for indoor riding. These are great value for this purpose. Have not used them outside so can't offer an opinion on them for that use.
