Comments about Nashbar Kid Karriage II Bike Trailer:

I've purchased a couple dozen Nashbar branded items with huge success, and this trailer doesn't disappoint. I can't believe people spend hundreds on more expensive brands. Buy it.

Comments about Nashbar Kid Karriage II Bike Trailer:

I have 2 kids, ages 1.5 and 3.5. I already had a bike seat and a co-pilot so I was hesitant to buy a trailer too... but Nashbar put it on sale so I pulled the trigger. Having borrowed a Burley from a buddy before, I have to admit that this is almost as good at 1/3 the price. Might be a bit smaller (trailer and wheels) but that can also be a plus if you are tight on storage space. It rides smooth and the material feels like it will hold up a while. The kids love it already and I know its probably a better option once the weather starts getting cold since it blocks the wind for them.

Comments about Nashbar Kid Karriage II Bike Trailer:

Purchased this for my grandchildren to be able to go with mom and dad. They are still a little small to use but it appears as it will work well. It arrived very quickly and was very easy to assemble. Materials seem fine. Others have criticized the wheel/axle system but for the sale price it appears to be a very nice product.

Comments about Nashbar Kid Karriage II Bike Trailer:

Arrived with a flat tire. Upon inspection it was evident that the tube had been pinched badly during assembly causing the tube to tear. I also found one of the frame assembly nuts to be barely fastened. It would have likely come loose during the first use had I not tightened it. The canvas top cover was missing one of the velcro fastening squares. Whoever sewed and assembled the canvas top cover probably just skipped one accidentally. To find these 3 issues with 1 unit causes me serious concern with the quality control of this product. Nashbar customer support agreed to send a replacement top cover. I also requested a credit for the tube that I replaced out of pocket. Nashbar customer support is requiring a picture of the receipt for the replacement tube. It's not worth my time. I was let down this time by Nashbar.

Comments about Nashbar Kid Karriage II Bike Trailer:

I have had my Kid Karriage II for almost three years, my son is going to be six and still fits easily. And he's tall!

This thing is great. Bombproof, easy to assemble & attach, relatively nimble, folds flat and after two plus years of long, regular rides, it has proved to be incredibly durable.

As for another reviewer complaining that you can't ride it faster than 10 M.P.H., I have never run it slower than an average speed of 15 M.P.H. and regularly push it to over 20. Warnings such as this are for liability protection. I suggest users rely more on their own judgment, but in my experience, there is absolutely nothing unsafe to prevent riding at speed. In point of fact, it's cinstruction is vastly safer than my fist bicycle, which I never rode slowly. Ever.

My son and I have spent many, many hours enjoying the outdoors and each other's company thanks to the Lid Karriage. We ride on the many miles of gevel surfaced rail-trails here in North Eastern Pennsylvania, with no equipment failure whatsoever despite the constant shock & vibration.

My boy will be getting his own bike next year, so this autumn will be our final season with the Kid Karriage. However, as a bike commuter, I intend to continue using it for cargo as I do when he's not in it-it holds LOTS of groceries!

I recommend this product more highly than almost anything else I own for cycling. And the value of the memories, the bonding and the joy it creates cannot even be measured.

Compared to others that I have owned (more expensive) this is a far lighter pull with the kid(s) in it and handles great! A little squeaky as it breaks in, but that is the only complaint. Best buy for the $, hands down.
